- I'm haflway through writing my entry for @uktin.bsky.social JogJam! It is a city location that can be dropped in most high-fantasy settings, though admittedly the connection with #ScarredLands is almost immediate. A refuge for people fleeing racial and religious persecution. An actual republic.

- Amen to that! Recently @uktin.bsky.social was able to replenish the wares of the Arcanist's Tavern with a lot of lovely indie-TTRPGs and supplements from the community. If anybody is around Shoreditch and would like to grab some hot zines - it's the best time to do so!
- I am taking a leaf out of the artists way and going on an artists date ; and heading to London to the #TateLate and an event which I learned about through @uktin.bsky.social I'll share more when I'm there #artistsdate
- I decided to have a go at this and it all came together very easily. Really nice to take part in my first game jam. Probably the best part was not having to write any mechanics. 😀 #jogjam #UKTin
- We're delighted to announce TIN's first game jam: Jog Jam! Full details and rules are here: www.patreon.com/posts/uktin-... Create content inspired by master mapmaker @jogbrogzin.bsky.social's work and have the chance to published as part of an anthology project from UK TIN!

- Very excited to be working with @uktin.bsky.social on their first Game Jam. Basically, I've made too many maps, and we need to figure out what to do with them 😅. But seriously, it's an honour to be a part of this. I'm really looking forward to what people come up with 🥰

- #RPGaDAY Day 31: Reward! RPGaDAY 2025 is officially done! But enthusing about cool RPGs is something we do year round at UK TIN. We love seeing everyone's responses, so thank you for sharing them! Remember to check out www.facebook.com/RPGaDAY and www.autocratik.com for future events.
- #RPGaDAY Day 30: Experience! Experience teaches you not only how to improve but also how to be imperfect: as a player, GM, and designer. We're never going to make the perfect game, so embrace imperfection and enjoy the experience!
- #RPGaDAY Day 29: Connect! Appreciating the hell out of the generosity with which UK TIN members share their time and expertise! Communities are so great for building lasting connections and pooling our knowledge to support each other.
- #RPGaDAY Day 28: Suspense! Not a deliberate delay in posting this, but I guess it fits the theme! No greater suspense than the suspense of releasing a game and waiting to see how it's received. Luckily we have a whole community of people who are used to that feeling.
- #RPGaDAY Day 27: Tactic! What are your top tactics for keeping TTRPG players engaged and invested? Listen to them, learn from others, try new things and see how they go, be a fan of their characters, and remember that the best story is the one we all tell together!
- #RPGaDAY Day 26: Nemesis! What makes a good nemesis in a TTRPG? Danger, excitement, maaaaybe a little bit of sexiness? We like it when rivals and nemesis characters get to do terrifying and unexpected things in games, though NGL we also love a good redemption arc too.
- #RPGaDAY Day 25: Challenge! We love a good challenge round here: board games, card games, miniatures games, and even TTRPGs are all about challenge. Whether it's getting to grips with a new system or tackling real-world problems, there's no Challenge Rating too high for our community!
- #RPGaDAY Day 24: Reveal! Games can tell us loads about ourselves and the world around us. Especially games that educate us on aspects of life we've never experienced or considered. We especially love indie games for this, passion projects that present the experiences of one or a few people.
- Check out this incredibly useful guide! (And like/follow/repost Fede to spread the word!)

- If you are in the UK and make TTRPGs, you might be interested to know I've joined @uktin.bsky.social's board of directors. I have a lot of ideas to help support the community as a whole and I'm so excited to join Ryan and Step in making TIN a thriving community hub 💜

- #RPGaDAY Day 23: Recent! A recent thing we've been very glad to see is the sheer number of bundles raising money for charity. While it's troubling that so many people need help, it's great to see the community throwing their support behind important causes so enthusiastically!
- #RPGaDAY Day 22: Ally! Today we want to celebrate our amazing community. We're lucky to be part of the wider tabletop community, and UK TIN has grown so much over the past year. We're grateful that our Discord is filled with wonderful people supporting each other. So much love <3
- #RPGaDay2025 22) Ally All of you. Seriously. It would be so easy to fall into the mindset of ‘their success takes a fraction of the market from my own’ but you don’t. @uktin.bsky.social and 1/2
- #RPGaDAY Day 21: Unexpected! Something that's awesome about TTRPGs is that there's always more to discover. Our community highlighted Pigsmoke (potatocubed.itch.io/pigsmoke) and Convictor Drive (www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/4...). What unexpected gems have you discovered?
- #RPGaDAY Day 20: Enter! What are the best entry TTRPG to help people get into gaming?Lasers & Feelings, Honey Heist, Mouse Guard, Quest, For the Queen and Fiasco are all great picks. Post your favourites in the replies!
- #RPGaDAY Day 19: Destiny! How do you handle prophecies in a game where everything can change based on player choices? Vague threats, promise cool stuff you want to put in, or just wing it? We also talked about the joy of playing characters *not* touched by destiny, just doing their best!
- #RPGaDAY Day 18: Sign! TTRPGs are allllll about communication, and this prompt got us thinking about the ways TTRPGs help us communicate and understand each other, from specific games like @hatchlingdm.itch.io's Isles trilogy to the moment you make your whole group laugh.
- ❤️
- I took that as a sign that the tabletop community was the right place for me. This is an observation that has been born out time after time, culminating in the welcoming joy that UK TIN (@uktin.bsky.social) is full of. 2/2
- #RPGaDAY Day 17: Renew! Going to quote our director @comradebubbles.bsky.social directly here on the power of TTRPGs to renew: "It’s also just a hobby that allows us to renew ourselves with every new character, a journey of self-discovery and improvement with every dice roll."
- #RPGaDAY Day 16: Overcome! This topic got people talking about player creativity - how systems help support players in bringing creative solutions to problems. And also about the things we have overcome to run and play games, and how it's been worth it.
- #RPGaDAY Day 15: Deceive! Apparently imposter syndrome is too easy an answer (boo!) but there's still plenty to talk about with this topic. 'Paranoia' is a great antidote to hidden information games because the whole point is that players should be suspicious of everything!
- If you're enjoying #RPGaDay content, be sure to follow @uktin.bsky.social and @autocratik.bsky.social for more! If you'd rather read it all in one go, rather than spread out across several threads, I'll be compiling it for my newsletter at the end of the month. Sign up here: ko-fi.com/moonlitbard
- #RPGaDAY Day 14: Mystery! What's your favourite way to use mystery in games? Our director Ryan likes to leave the time before the game as a mystery to be filled in during play, while our social media manager likes to pretend their players' cool ideas for solutions were what they meant all along!
- #RPGaDAY Day 13: Darkness! This topic got people talking about the capacity of games to help us through dark times, and explore things we struggle with. Organisations like @gametherapyuk.bsky.social are proponents for games as part of healing, and that's something we want to see more of.
- #RPGaDAY Day 12: Path! Stay on the path, or risk straying into the deep dark forest? Some games and groups take a more linear path through their stories, while others like to plunge off into mysterious and uncharted lands. Neither is wrong, so figure out what's right for your group.
- #RPGaDAY Day 11: Flavour! Flavour is more than just a marketing ploy in TTRPGs: it is often at the heart of why people engage with a game. Our community shouted out some examples of games with great flavour, and talked about how we would pick up games based on flavour alone!
- #RPGaDAY Day 10: Origin! Cue lots of fond reminiscing about how we got into gaming 🥰 Many of us have people and games we're grateful to for initiating us into TTRPGs. Whether through friends showing us how to play, societies and clubs, or just picking up a book and finding a whole world inside.
- Recently I found inspo in a documentary about the Great Barrier Reef, and a coral-themed board game I had high hopes for but that wasn’t as in-depth as I’d imagined. Playing around with ideas of how I would improve the game and tie in an educational element has ended in plans for an original game.
- #RPGaDAY Day 9: Inspire! What are your TTRPG inspirations? What systems really made you want to run games, or design mechanics? What other media make you keen to hack systems so you can represent them?
- #RPGaDAY Day 9: Inspire! What are your TTRPG inspirations? What systems really made you want to run games, or design mechanics? What other media make you keen to hack systems so you can represent them?
- #RPGaDAY Day 8: Explore! (Shh this is from yesterday, enjoy the double decker of posts today) Exploration can mean delving deep into mysterious places, or it can mean exploring a concept. Lots of UK TIN members explore concepts through their games, creating unique experiences as they go.
- #RPGaDAY Day 7: Journey! Oops, running a bit late with this one. This topic inspired UK TIN members to talk about their personal journeys - in the gaming community, in their careers, and as part of UK TIN. Most of our journeys in games are entirely fictional, but they're meaningful nevertheless!
- #RPGaDAY Day 6: Motive! This topic inspired TIN members to talk about their motives for making games. Whether it's to represent ourselves authentically, explore something cool and new, or craft an experience, it helps us keep going even when creativity is hard! (Usually a mix of all of these)
- #RPGaDAY Day 5: Ancient! The history of TTRPGs might be relatively recent, but going back over older RPGs can feel like archaeology sometimes! Tracing back the history of a particular mechanical concept or pulling out ideas from old adventures is a great way to get inspired.
- #RPGaDAY Day 4: Message! Tabletop games are all about communication, and there's so many ways to tell stories together. Games from play-by-post forum games to correspondence RPGs have kept their stories going across time and space!
