- If the Epstein files do nothing but revive the idea that extreme wealth in the hands of a single person is a bad thing, we will have moved forward.
- As a nation, we learned this lesson in the 1930s, when the Wall Street machinations of the very rich threw the entire world into deep economic Depression.
- But it was a lesson we then forgot, as America's post WWII boom (combined with unionization) brought economic security to a wider swath of Americans than had ever before enjoyed them.* Those whose boats were rising didn't feel the need to complain about the rising yachts around them.

- Very few people realize that this sort of obvious, outrageous injustice was still happening this late.
- The attack on teaching the sordid history of white supremacy in America is not about silencing ancient history, it is about silencing the truth about things that people still alive today suffered, witnessed or perpetrated.
- Liberals, secure in their self-aggrandizing belief that they have a monopoly on brains, have been ushering fascism into our government for decades.

- That the, apparently standard, practice is to refer to detainees as "bodies" is, of course, *intended* to desensitize guards to the inhumane treatment of those detainees. Not only is this incredibly dangerous for the detainees, it is also abuse *of the guards* and should, of course, be outlawed.
- Is that official language? Are guards instructed to use it? If so, someone knowingly made the decision to implement that language, and did so with ill intentions. That's Nuremberg evidence against that person.
- And the fear of social disapproval and humiliation (i.e. shame) for engaging in inhumane acts is a good and useful social regulation mechanism.
