- Reposted by Alliance of Genome Resources🎉 5,000+ genome assemblies sequenced! EBP affiliates are building momentum, and we’re already looking ahead to the next genome sequencing milestone on the road to 2026. Congratulations to everyone who worked together to make this happen. Happy holidays and a happy New Year! ✨🧬
- Improved for Alliance v.8.3: The Alliance BLAST Service page www.alliancegenome.org/blastservice has been updated to include fly, worm, yeast, fungal, and rat BLAST services.
- Improved in Alliance v. 8.3.0: The gene page Expression ribbon and table have been updated to improve sorting features. For example, the table is sorted by Location by default. If one instead sorts Assay, the other columns will also sort (by Location then Stage).
- This sorting is preserved when one downloads the table data.
- New in Alliance v8.3.0: The Transgene Alleles section of gene pages has been updated to include alleles in which the gene serves only as a regulatory region driving another component (such as a fluorescent tag or a binary driver like GAL4); previously such alleles weren't displayed on gene pages.
- The components being driven by a gene's regulatory region are displayed in the Expressed Components column, as well as in the Transgenic Constructs section of Alleles/Variants reports.
- Other components of constructs, like fluorescent reporters & protein tags, have been added to the data for C. elegans transgenes (some other organisms had them already). They're displayed in the Expressed Components column, as well as in the Transgenic Constructs section of Alleles/Variants reports.
