- Time for Mae’s breakdown of the “Bluesky Temporary Suspension Scam” red flags - Suspensions log you out meaning you can’t access DMs where the scams are sent - official accounts don’t have strings of random numbers in their name - Asking for money for removing suspensions is illegal in the EU
- - If something asks you to go to off-platform site such as Discord it’s fake, the only exception is email addresses using the official domain or what their official websites account state - If a message uses the copyright c circle unicode on brand names it’s fake…
- Copyright doesn’t apply to brand names, trademarks do - Links that use public url shorteners (ex, bit.ly) that mask link content 9 out of 10 times are a disguised phishing link (be very cautious around shortened/masked links)
