- It's hard to have a perfect interview, but I think this one with Terry Gross is a perfect interview. talkeasypod.com/terry-gross/
- When shitty people who aren't the walking dingleberry die, it's like a little taster for what happens when his orange existence ceases. But like tasters, you can't wait for the main course.
- That was my foot stool.
- (Do not criticise the cables. This is my order. Or disorder.)
- It's also a very strange feeling to rest your foot on the side of the stool as to not disrupt the sleeping pup, then to have your toes licked during an interview.

- Introducing Luna.
- Made the early morning mistake of having a second coffee right after the first coffee, rather than letting the whole digestive system settle for a bit. You can't just jump into a second coffee this way. It's like swimming after eating, you've gotta let it calm itself down before you mix streams.

- Tired of chrome closing browser groups for no reason so have made the shift to brave on my phone. No tracking seems nice, so hopefully that works ok.
- Brave has already been a much cleaner experience. Why didn't I shift browsers sooner?
- New year's goal: Up my potato intake.
- In 2026, be kind to yourself and when you think you could be about to enter into an argument with a stranger on the internet, instead, just reach for the block button and then forget they ever exist. Their mum already forgets they exist, so it's ok if you do too.

- I am up to my waist in Hades at the moment and really enjoying it. Quite impressive that they can make a repetitive game feel fresh and new each run. I've got a long way to go before the end and I max out relationships, but I'm enjoying it a lot. I won't dive into Hades 2 right away, but keen as.

- America does a lot that's not right, but high at the top of the list of things that are genuinely bad about that country is that they normalised putting two letters as a first name. JD is not a name. TJ is not a name. AJ is not a name. Always with J's too and always men, not women.

- Does anyone in Perth know of any rallies to attend? What a shit time of year to do this. A horrible, horrible government.
- Ahhhhhh. Forgot my regular glasses today so it's sunglasses inside at work for me today.
- I do really wish that in the midst of so much fucking shit going on 24/7 that there was a little bit more acceptance or understanding of the fallibility of people. If someone is mostly aligned with your values and they make a mistake or were unaware of something and own up to it, then that's ok.
- Don't tear them apart or rake them over the coals for making a mistake or not knowing. Not everyone is online 24/7. It's ok to not be right or aligned with what has been determined to be the 'correct path' for everyone.
- Understanding now why certain film critics got very upset when I said I don't need to re-watch the films of the French New Wave. They've just been published in a book about... The French New Wave. I never said I didn't like FNW, I've just seen enough of it to not delve into it more.
- It's also partially that the FNW tends to dominate a lot of the cultural conversation about film in certain sections of Australian film and media teaching/discussion. That's fine, but the almost exclusive focus on it is at the detriment to many other film movements around the world.
- And, when they do expand into other film movements, it's almost always through the lens of how the FNW informed that movement, or how that movement informed FNW. It's a reductive way to view cinema IMO.

- Reposted by Andrew F PeirceJohn Howard pushed for the invasion of Iraq, which was one of the dominoes which created the conditions for ISIS and caused untold human misery we are still dealing with today. He refused to acknowledge racism was a main driver of the Cronulla riots.

- I met John Howard once when he abandoned his security and tried to enter a building through an exit door. He was disgruntled by the fact that the door would not take him to where he needed to be, even though it was his fault he was in the wrong place. Nothing changes.
- Never forget: People are exhausting and the internet was a bad idea. Bring back faxes.
- I should be able to mute the following things: - America - Anti-potato talk - Emails - Emails from that indoor skydive company I visited once - Emails from the Texas car service shop who keeps reminding me my car is due for a service - Sweating - Summer - Judgement for bare feet in the office
- There's more, but alas, I can't mute text limits on posts.
- Against the advice of my better half, I might purchase some sandals which are currently 50% off. I won't mention that I've bought them until they arrive and I put them on. Then it'll be too late and I'll have to commit to a sandal life. I just want cool feet.
- As a Freo Dockers supporter and member, I'm really hoping that they make the smart choice to get rid of Woodside once their contract is up. I'll be as vocal as I was last time they were reviewing it.
- Why do Americans call it 'grilled cheese' and not a 'grilled cheese sandwich'? The sandwich is the functional thing in the equation. When I was young I thought it was literally just grilled cheese so I did just that: cheese under the grill. Ended up with melted cheese which was impossible to eat.
- Rather enjoy reading Heather Rose's work. So far, her novels have not been uniform experiences. Am diving into A Great Act of Love and enjoying it.
- It's ok to block Adrian Martin on social media.
- It is absolutely amazing how someone so shit and dickheadish can be so prevalent.
- While folks are probably expected to have an opinion on the social media ban, I really don't have much of an opinion at all other than to ask whether it's possible for me, a 41 year old, to opt into the ban.
- Concern.
