- Red Fox pouncing on prey. This tactic is also known as "mousing", where the fox will leap high into the air and then dive headfirst into the snow to catch voles or other rodents. It's a lot of fun to watch, and in my experiences... they're usually quite successful. #wildlife #photography #redfox
- A Back-backed Woodpecker (male) forages away on a red pine, as pieces of bark and snow go flying. Black-backed Woodpeckers are usually found in the north, especially in burned out forests. Lucky for me, this guy was a few minutes from home. #birds #birding #bird #photography #wildlifephotography
