- Happy to be a guest with Matthew. Always a great host.
- Thrilled to have @boom-studios.com Editor-In-Chief @andy39a.bsky.social on COMICS FOR YOU dropping knowledge and tips for creators. Make sure you listen! #podcast #comics #comicbooks
- Standing up against tyranny. That’s what a real super hero looks like.
- Hey Comics Creators, if you received an email from me about a "Buy Out" of your contract, that IS REAL. And likely a good thing for you. I'm happy to answer any questions, simply REPLY ALL to the email and your question will come back to me and the publisher. Happy to shed any additional light! Thx
- Getting a full length manuscript in from a NYT's best-selling novelist that's a really good graphic novel script is a delight I wasn't anticipating today. Good day to come into work!
- In other @boom-studios.com news, GRIM has been picked up by @netflix.com for a series to be put into production! Very cool for creators @stephsmash.bsky.social and Flaviano. icv2.com/articles/new...
- Nice to see Larry Hama and the late Doc Bright's series getting some love on @icv2.com ! It's a romp, folks! icv2.com/articles/new...
- NYCC 2025 is in the books. An energetic show. Lots of great conversations that make me optimistic for the future. We’ve been through a lot these last couple of years, but what’s being built now in response is looking very promising. It’s hard to keep an industry about underdogs down.
- BOOM! Studios is looking for a new assistant editor! You can read the job posting here and follow directions to apply to the greatest comics editorial team in the world! bit.ly/42ooXLq
- Heading out tomorrow. And here’s where you can find me at #SDCC And maybe learn some good craft, too!
- Saw Superman today. It was nice for a Superman movie to have characters that cared more about saving the lives of innocent people than killing the bad guy. So seems like a solid shift in the right direction.
- Also really enjoyed Guy Gardner and Mr Terrific. Seeing Guy Gardner made me miss my friend Keith Giffen who wrote Guy so well in Justice League (not Gang). But I like thinking about and remembering my time working with Keith, so even that sadness was good.
- Helping out the back to school efforts volunteering at Ready Fest for all the kids in the county. Trying to do my part to do good things.
- My SDCC schedule!
- I might be in trouble. I’m beginning to suspect that this hotel is a front for Cobra, the ruthless organization determined to rule the world!
- I'm very excited to be working with these five, extremely talented editors on top of the five extremely talented editors I'm ALREADY working with at BOOM!. www.comicsbeat.com/whoa-boom-hi...

- I grew up reading his Hulk and X-Factor. Then I had the pleasure of being his editor at Marvel on Captain Marvel, Madrox the Multiple Man, the X-Factor revival series and then Fallen Angel over at IDW. I absolutely loved working with him.
- My heart goes out to his wife Kathleen and all of his children.
- Enjoying the Lou City FC game with some of my favorite people.
- This is pretty cool news. bleedingcool.com/comics/andy-...

- HARD AGREE. The Originals is fantastic!
- Got at my LCS after passing it up so many times, can't believe I didn't pick it up sooner. @davegibbons90.bsky.social needs no introduction regarding his art, but his writing often goes overlooked. His Batman vs. Predator is still a seminal work, and a favorite of mine. A great read!
- #PROTIP: #comics artist, to improve the clarity of your storytelling, do your own word balloon placements in your layouts—plan for those big white blobs on the page. #makecomics
- And because I'm terrible at promotion, I probably should have mentioned that we're offering a Lettering Course on line starting in April! And you can sign up for it here: comicsexperience.com/store/course... It should get you to the point where you can letter your own work professionally.
- Wife surprised me today with a trip to meet two charming capybaras. And it made me very happy.

- Reposted by Andy SchmidtIn better news, I finally finished The Pedestrian. An absolutely wonderfully odd indie superhero comic. Great art, great design work, and very relatable. May or may not make a quick video on it. We'll see.

- Reposted by Andy SchmidtMy creative career leapt forward as soon as I started doing instead of stockpiling plans and looking for the 'right' moment to start. There is no inevitable success, but improvement and personal satisfaction comes from doing and building those habits.
- I was just reminded about what a wonderful creator and person Dwayne McDuffie was. A truly rare talent who was able to work on characters that had been around for decades and simultaneously capture their voices while also defining them. He left us too young. I still miss him.
- #PROTIP: #comics artist, to improve the clarity of your storytelling, give each panel nice, clean, and thick gutters between them. It allows the reader's mind to put one image away, and fill in the gap to the next very easily. #makecomics
- As a former Marvel editor who worked on multiple takes on the Silver Surfer, I can't stress how difficult a character he is to really get right. If anyone can do it, Greg can do it. If any team can do it, this team can do it. I'll definitely be checking this out and you should, too! #comics
- HUGE COMICS NEWS! I'm writing a new SILVER SURFER book, drawn by Sumit Kumar, with covers by Dike Ruan, edited by Tom Groneman! I freaking love Norrin Radd and this book is gonna be one of the best things I've ever worked on. Absolute dream team. Do not miss, friends! comicbook.com/comics/news/...
