Heading out for the morning, but have rough-cut parts for the first six Leg Unit steps! I was originally going to paint the frame all-metallic, but I think I’ll stick with matte grays for the non-gold/silver parts and add metallic micro details.
The surface detail on the fin funnel inner frames is such a flex.
I’m really hoping that
i) the outer armor parts for this kit are easy to remove and reattach
ii) I can order additional runners just for the outer armor
I’d love to paint a second set of armor in the near-monochrome First Lot colors

Leg Unit 1 done! (two, one pictured here)
☺️ Gray central part sprayed metallic (had a real seam line, that bit)
☺️ Matte gray core frame part
☺️ White outer armor (this bit is part of the frame instruction)
☺️ Teeny metallic green stickers applied!

😭 Goopy silver detail, will spray next time

☺️ Some other parts sprayed metallic to balance it out a bit
