- Back to the SPSS vs R comparisons. Okay so file this under #STATSBITS but ... while grading Stats II homework, TIL that: * When R calculates skewness and kurtosis (using psych::describe), it uses "type 3" calculation * When SPSS does this, it uses a "type 2" bias corrected calculation.
- Educator friends: Recently, I've noticed students struggling to find info online when they can't use LLMs (as an exercise) ... but they seemingly forgot that you can still use the library, Internet, etc. Several "I couldn't answer this b/c I couldn't ask Gemini" Anyone else notice similar?
