- Reposted by César Morales del MolinoElucidating mutual relationships between bees and plants in biodiversity hotspots is a challenge that requires the joint efforts of ecologists and taxonomists. In this new paper we analyse community-wide relationships between plants and Andrena bees in the Cazorla mountains and describe 3 new species

- Reposted by César Morales del Molino- Too much pressure to publish. - More volume, less quality. - Predatory journals. - Crazy fees to publish your own work. - Too many low-quality papers. - Pre-prints masquerading as, peer reviewed. Academic publishing is broken. We need overhaul the system, focusing on quality not quantity.
- Despite we got some hail in spring when all these folks were blooming, the fleshy fruit yield so far looks excellent: Euonymus europaeus, Prunus spinosa, Rhamnus cathartica and Viburnum lantana.
- Y por último, una bonita y grandota abeja en un Cirsium, que no sé por dónde anda... ¿Alguna idea @cmhmaliani.bsky.social y/o @curromolina.bsky.social? Muchas gracias.
- Two more butterflies spotted this weekend: Limenitis reducta (on the trail) and Cynthia cardui on Mantisalca salmantica.
