- See this daily while commuting as well - people just cheerfully watching Netflix or Youtube while driving. One this morning was all over the road on a dual carriageway, weaving and doing 80 in a 120. When I passed them, wife glanced over and said they had phone in hand, laughing away at a video.

- Back home in Cork after 10 days in the US. Lived there for 27 years, and the vibe there since leaving in 2023 is absolutely mad. Friends and family are fucking genuinely scared there.

- Been back in the US for five days now. Was detained at the airport by USCI (thankfully admitted after a few hours of nerves). The overall feeling here even in SF is one of nerves, fear, and worry over what’s coming. Every friend and family member assures us we did the right thing moving.
