The former Countess, Emma.
Twexiled South Yorkshire lass who ran for the hills but secretly would rather be French. Sometime birder and Starmerite (without being all tribal about it). Doesn’t suffer fools or eat gammon. #FBPE
- Perhaps younger people buying into the ‘it’s just winter/summer’ tropes genuinely can’t remember a time when it didn’t rain continuously for weeks on end?
- Fucking hell!
- Oh, give it a bleedin’ rest.
- Some Labour MPs should be thinking a little more about the victims rather than using Mandelson as an excuse to go ‘on manoeuvres’. And they should be raising questions about Farage and Nick Candy’s appearances in the Epstein Files.
- If there was any justice, Mountbatten Windsor would be moving into a bijou shared studio in a Wakefield HMO. But there isn’t.
- The most horrific thing of all is the number of very ordinary men who secretly a relish a trip to the island where they could just grab a woman or girl by the pussy, no questions asked. My guess is it’s a frighteningly large number.
- Save Are Kids.
- Keir Starmer is not in the Epstein Files. He must deal with Mandelson; yes, absolutely. But the Epstein Files should be the catalyst for major reform, beginning, but certainly not ending, with the House of Lords.
- I still can’t quite comprehend the depths and extent of depravity detailed in the Epstein Files. I don’t doubt it, but it reads like something from the court of Caligula. It’s unfathomable that such evil flourished in modern times.
- Good! Time for him to leave the Lords too. Foul man.
- Good to see Keir Starmer saying that Andrew Mountbatten should testify under oath. So he should; it seems he has a lot of questions to answer. But it’s a disgrace that Charlie isn’t saying the same thing.
- Finally, finally, a tiny patch of blue sky. Not quite enough to make a pair of trousers for a sailor, but at least it’s something.
- Not sure “rogue landlord” actually covers this.
- Reposted by The former Countess, Emma.Auschwitz was at the end of a process. We must remember that it did not start from gas chambers. This hatred gradually developed: from ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder. Auschwitz took time.
- Good news. Hopefully, a cap on service charges will follow.
- Keir Starmer is a statesman and a huge asset to the UK. Operating largely in the shadows, he is undoing the damage of Brexit by re-building trust based relations with the EU, and restoring the UK’s soft power on the global stage. Andy Burnham is not, I’m afraid, up to that task.
- @remembrancewatch.bsky.social It’s a fair question, isn’t it?

- Odd isn’t it? How many Brits died answering the call of the USA in the past few decades because we were once allies? And yet I don’t hear a single flagshagger screaming ‘Lest we forget’ at Donald Trump.
- Something for @ledbydonkeys.org to play with in Clacton perhaps?
- There’s an awful lot of hope and expectation being piled on the shoulders of a single little blood clot isn’t there? What if it doesn’t get its act together in time? Shouldn’t somebody have a plan B?
- Anyone else remember the gammon mewling like babbies about the EU ‘punishing’ brave little Blighty for deciding to become a third country? Yeah, me too. Oddly quiet about Trump’s tariffs aren’t they?
- If you know anyone who lives in Romford, tell them about this. #Rosindell #AnotherTurquoiseTory
