Wandering round Whassett with Jude & Alba (partner & dog) ....oh and a camera as well for snapping little scenes we come across. Retired and enjoying the peace & beauty all around us.

- came across the orange one's signature whilst out walking earlier......fitting that it was a trackside ditch in the middle of nowhere
- Off the beaten track......well beyond the end of the very minor road to Mealasta on Lewis. A beautiful stretch of coastline with plenty of evidence of the old days. Quite rugged but with stunning views back down to Harris. Definitely not on the tourist trail!
- More waves from Mangersta
- "Boulder Valley" The hugely impressive boulders at the base of Creagan Tealasdale (Mealaisbhal) and Loch Mhor na Clibhe. A shortish pathless walk across the moors of West Lewis which offered some great views into the heart of the mountains. #ShareMondays2026 #OuterHebrides #IsleofLewis
- First few moments down at Mangersta as the sun was dropping and the tide rising fast. Stunning strong light, large crashing waves and a thunderous sound. Fantastic for the short time it lasted and then the sun dropped into the horizon cloud. #outerhebrides #isleoflewis #mangersta
- golden marram
- Mhor beach than sea Traigh Mhor looking across to Ceapabhal....could have done with some light, but sadly that came later.
- abandoned
- "Lazy light" Looking back inland from Scarista to the lazy beds on the lower slopes.....the low winter sun really helping here. Despite many visits here in the past, I can't say I've noticed them before, but they really do stand out in these conditions. #OuterHebrides #IsleofHarris
- Borve Breakers Sunset at Borve with some amazing breakers below Ceapabhal
- Tension
- "Waves in a dune" Messing with some ICM shots from Harris ahead of an imminent return visit.
