- The minimum wage should not have age bands. I was once taught to do a part-time job by a 17 year old and paid more than her for the privilege. I don't see how that's not, at the very least, socially frowned upon.
- When there's a government shutdown the President goes to the mountains to meditate. This is pretty basic stuff.

- Trying not to sound like a hypocrite while simultaneously saying "we shouldn't idly speculate on the health of political figures we disagree with" and "could Trump get a smidgen of the scrutiny Biden got?"
- Politicians who don't believe in something will massively over-correct when they need to triangulate, because they have no frame of reference for what they can compromise on. You see it with Conservatives trying to out-Reform Reform on immigration, and now we see it with Labour and flags.
- Ironic that it's taken a party founded by labour unions this long to work out that, when they act collectively, they can't be pushed around by their boss.
- We had the pleasure of meeting the #OnlyConnect finalists the day before the Grand Final, and knew immediately that whoever lifted the perspex slab tonight would be very worthy winners. Congratulations to the new Champions!
