- A midday visit to the Guadalmedina river in Málaga. Highlights included Wryneck, Bluethroat & Water Pipit. Couldn't find the recently reported Jack Snipe near the stadium but was busy as it was a match day. 24 species seen. Great urban site for birding in Málaga. #birdingmalaga #urbanbirding

- Desembocadura del Guadalhorce reserve open weekdays again. Great day for raptors with Booted Eagle, Marsh Harrier and Osprey showing well. Good variety of wildfowl and waders present also. 58 species seen. #birdingmalaga

- Atmospheric morning walk along the Arroyo de las Z in Riogordo after the first rainfall of the autumn yesterday. Notable were two Turtle Doves, 1 Redstart, Cirl Bunting and 3 very noisy Kestrels. #birdingriogordo #birdingmalaga
- A beautiful September morning, so decided to head up to Tajo Gomer above Riogordo. Saw my first Common Redstarts of the autumn and a Whinchat amongst good numbers of Stonechat. Hundreds of House Martins and around 6 Griffon Vultures flying around. 24 bird species seen. A few Ibex too but distant.
- Sometimes they turn up when you aren't even looking. Alpine Accentor in the car park at the Sierra Nevada Ski station. #birding #birdingandalucia
