- On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we honor the six million Jewish lives systematically murdered by the Nazi regime, and all the victims of its ideology, including Roma, disabled individuals, political dissidents, and LGBTQ+ people.
- We remember that the Holocaust did not begin with camps, but with words: with normalized hatred, with dehumanizing laws, and with the steady erosion of rights for targeted groups. It was enabled by indifference, by a failure to recognize gathering tyranny, and by the division of society.
- We recall the specific persecution of LGBTQ+ individuals under Paragraph 175. After the war, their suffering was ignored; they were denied reparations and many were re-imprisoned. Their fight for recognition teaches us that justice delayed is justice denied, and that remembrance must be inclusive.

- I'm going to "Official blento.app beta launch"!
- On April 16, 1963, writing from the confines of a jail cell, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. responded to critics who called his actions “unwise and untimely.” He did not offer an apology; he offered a lesson on the mechanics of justice.
- He wrote: “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.”
- In 2026, we return to these words not just for inspiration, but for instruction—rooted in the Black freedom struggle and offered to all movements committed to human dignity. Dr. King taught us that there is no such thing as an “outsider” in the fight for justice.
-
View full threadWe honor Dr. King today by refusing to be silent. We honor him by loving our neighbors fiercely, protesting peacefully, and standing firm until liberty and justice are not conditional, selective, or delayed—but real for everyone. #MLKDay #MartinLutherKingJr #KeepTheDreamAlive
