- Could anyone shed a light on the origins and meaning of phrase "wropt in mystry"? Obviously literal meaning is something is unknown. I come across it often in early 20th c. writings, always in quotation marks. Is it a Scottish/ Shakespeare/ Dickens thing? #PhDSky #AcademicSky
