- I hate that things have devolved into an argument on whether the UK should spend more on defence. It's a nonsense framing that suggests the bigger the number, the more secure we are. We should be talking about how we achieve peace. Not just mindlessly funnel money, thinking that will keep us safe.
- Reposted by Kat BristowOur AGM and @transgreens.bsky.social Interim Committee last week voted to leave X/Twitter. It is quite simply untenable to continue as we were, in the backdrop of everything going on.
- I'm lost for words. The US doing imperialism in Latin America and breaking international law is nothing new. But in the past, they at least tried to hide what they were doing. The US is a full-on rogue state under Trump. Any world leaders that don't condemn these actions are unfit for office.
- I totally agree there is no such thing as a "perfect Green." The aim isn't everyone to become Vegan, it's that meat production is reduced and is more ethical. We don't want to stop people driving and flying. We want active travel to be safe and public transport to be a cheap and viable option.
- And this week's episode of @boldpolitics.bsky.social is with @femi-oluwole.bsky.social Loved this conversation and welcome to the party, Femi! youtu.be/UTmCzWMalWA?...
- What I hate most about the Girl Guides banning trans girls and women is that they do the double speak of being inclusive and saying we were forced to do it. They weren't forced to, and even if the law worked that way, you can't be inclusive while enforcing discrimination of the state.
- Why does it seem impossible for governments not to walk lock-step towards authoritarianism these days? Crack down on protests, proscribing Palestine Action, and now getting rid jury trials. I don't know how Labour could open the door more for Reform to do a fascist takeover of this country.
- Last Green Party conference when we passed our desegregation of trans healthcare motion. Not vague commitments to trans liberation, but actual policy that would address issues facing trans people. 5 people online and 0 in the room voted against, plus no speeches against out of 1000s attending. 1/4
- A few years ago, the Greens had a similar breakdown to Your Party on votes for trans rights, and I would be the first to say that we had a massive problem with transphobia back then. I'm afraid Your Party has been creating the same environment that allows for bigotry to spread. 2/4
- The term trans liberation can mean particularly anything, and by not stating what they mean by it outright, they are going to be stuck in the endless dehumanising debates that force trans people to argue for our right to exist. The only way you stop that is being clear where the party stands. 3/4
- My concern is that they are so focused on not recreating the problems of the Labour Party. They aren't taking on the lessons learnt already by other broad left wing movements like Greens. I would hate to be correct, I'd love if all parties were overwhelmingly in favour of trans liberation. 4/4
- 4000 LGBTIQA+ Greens members mean we've doubled since Zack became leader. We have big proposals to how we organise coming to our AGM, so we can keep growing and better nurture grassroots organising.

- A few hours later, Brianna Wu showing why none of us should trust her. Doubling down on her transmedicalism and continuing to be a shill for Israel. I'm for people changing and trying to repair the damage they've done, but a faux apology where they don't recognise any harm they've done, ain't it.
- The EHRC is making trans people afraid to live a public life through segregation. The suffragettes and the black civil rights movement included property damage in its direct action. Be on the right side of history by recognising the harm being done instead of hand-wringing over a smash window.
- Now, half of the councillors in Bristol are Greens! And we have a fantastic 35th member joining the Green group! We've replaced Labour in Bristol and soon the rest of the country.
- Reposted by Kat BristowGender Identity Clinics are a segregating bottleneck to gender-affirming healthcare 🏥 An informed consent model of care is vital to tackle the backlog & deliver trans people health equity 🏳️⚧️ That’s why the Green Party will abolish GICs, funding & training GPs to care for trans people equitably 💚
- Let asylum seekers work, find their own place to live, and provide language lessons. How can asylum seekers "integrate" or "contribute to society" if the government doesn't allow them to?
- I take no pleasure in this. As a Green, I have a lot of disagreements with LibDems on economic issues, but I want every party to be trans inclusive. LibDems rejected this move at their conference, so it is bad for both internal democracy and trans people. Their leadership needs to grow a backbone.
- This is what happens when Lib-Dem MP's and party administrators don't come charging out the gate and bodyslam misogyny against all women whether born cis or trans. If the Lib-Dems can't defend all women with the same vigour they are shit at their job. www.libdemvoice.org/prue-bray-i-...

- Reposted by Kat BristowGreen Party Conference recently passed some amazing healthcare policy for the trans community. It commits us to an informed consent model of trans healthcare, a trans-led public inquiry into NHS care, a trans-inclusive ban on conversion therapy, and so much more.
- Informed consent now! We don't need any more of us dying due to this wait for gatekeeping services. GICs where a comprise for cis people to feel more comfortable with trans healthcare. That comprise has been broken with these genocidal wait times, so we have to demand an end to segregation.
- I've already got mine. There's a lot more photos with me wearing it incoming.
- The @transgreens.bsky.social and ourselves have revamped our Teemill website where the #ElectTheDolls t-shirts that we had at conference are now on sale. Do check it out: lgbtiqagreens.teemill.com

- Reposted by Kat BristowC03 "Reforming Trans Healthcare" brought by Cade Hatton, has been UNANIMOUSLY passed by conference. There were 5 votes against.
- Green Party conference has just adopted desegregation of trans healthcare as party policy. Proud to be in a party that is pushing for informed consent to access what we need to live.

- Reposted by Kat BristowThe Green Party proving once again that it will always stand with the trans community 🏳️⚧️ Political parties are not obliged to provide a platform to any organisation, regardless of their demands. This was the right decision.
- Green Women's Declaration had their stall at the upcoming Green Party conference withdrawn by the party. I'm glad the party has listened to concerns over safety from cis women and trans members. So there won't be any platform for organisations that are opposed to human rights at our conference.
- I and dozens of others were out yesterday helping Zoe with the poling day operations in Woodhouse Park. We only get these results by volunteers being on the ground getting people out to vote Green and donations fueling campaigns. So if you want to stop Reform join us today join.greenparty.org.uk
- I've gotten councills to install a number of dropped curbs around the country. Whenever I have to make an awkward manoeuvre in my chair to get past streets without them, I report it. I don't think the government surveilling my every movement is a required step in that process.
- Reposted by Kat BristowAn attack on one of us is an attack on all of us. A brief statement in solidarity with Liberal Democrat councillor Chris Northwood @chrisn.xyz
- The Green Party has taken great strides in being a liberatory space for trans people. It must not allow organisations to bully us into having stalls at conference that are against our aims and makes people feel unsafe. So a group of us have created a petition ✍️ you.38degrees.org.uk/p/Greens-Tra...

- Reform is taking one of our Green Party councillors in Worcester to court because the Reform candidate lost the election. Trying to use the courts to undermine fair elections is another common tool in the fascist playbook. Link to the legal fund 👇🏾 donatetothe.greenparty.org.uk/make-sure-we...
- Reposted by Kat BristowYesterday the UN declared that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza. Today Keir Starmer rolls out the red carpet for Trump - Israel's biggest ally and a cheerleader for its atrocities. Shameful.
- The House of Lords should have been abolished generations ago. It shouldn't have a place in today's society. The Green Party is very clear on this. While we're sending people to the lords, they should not be afraid to be disruptive to achieve our goals. So I'm standing for the Green's Lords List
