- RPG designers need to put some distance between themselves and CRPG design theory. If the dungeon is deadly, if you're facing a powerful demon you shouldn't poke, if the monsters don't plan to fight fair, there's a GM responsible for all those things, not code. They could have done differently.
- I have enough trouble getting my group to even consider using horses to travel faster. The king: "This matter is most urgent. If you do not arrive at the edge of the kingdom in time, all might be lost." My players: "Who do we see first in the 'Fellowship crossing the mountains' montage?"

- Isn't there a fancy word for a collection of loose, but related papers gathered and held in what are essentially separated book covers? Not a folder, exactly, but like a book with proper covers and pages in between that's not bound? I thought "palimpsest" was the word, but I'm wrong. Anyone?
