Allred endorsed Rep. Jasmine Crockett in the Texas Senate Democratic primary.
The last Democrat elected to the Senate in Texas was Lloyd Bentsen, who served from 1971 - 1993.
Republicans have had Texas more or less sown up for years, at least at the level of the Senate and Governorship. Would love to see that change, but I think friction during the primary is not unusual.
