Ben Franklin, Esq.
Dad. Pop culture lover. I have a history degree that I'm not USING, per se. I enjoy Dr. Pepper.
- I'm not sure what I'm supposed to think about Framber Valdez. But I guess that's kind of an indication that they're not committed to Skubal.
- Reposted by Ben Franklin, Esq.I read thousands of pages of Epstein files this weekend trying to understand what he wanted out of his meeting with 4chan's Christopher Poole. Here's everything we know about Epstein's plans to dismantle the internet and, eventually, democracy. www.garbageday.email/p/here-s-how...

- YouTube TV seems to have decided that it's just recording every Olympic event. Okay! Sounds great! (We must have gone on a recording spree 4 years ago)
- Never say never when the internet is involved. Even after 27 years.
- I NEED TO TALK ABOUT THIS YOU HAVE NO IDEA
- Over $700K in a few hours, on a goal of $20K, is what I'd call success. www.kickstarter.com/projects/rif...
- Oh wow, production is going back to Minnesota. Physical sets. It's exactly like the SciFi era. I feel like the newer seasons were a mixed bag but this is going to fix all of that. It's literally like the direct continuation of what was cancelled in 1999.
- I'm excited. Mike Nelson, Kevin Murphy, & Bill Corbett were my introduction to MST3K in 1997 so I'm partial to that group.
- Oh, that's really big. Basically the second after Joel Hodgson decides he's out for good and sells his stake in MST3K, now Mike Nelson is going to take a run at it. For the first time since he left the original series, right? Door is open now!

- At this moment, excited NBC Olympics producers are checking the schedule for hockey games between the US and Russia and noting that announcers need to use Heated Rivalry references "whenever possible"
- Hard-hitting journalism from the Free Press. Who, exactly, is asking this question? (I'm guessing this is just because there was a tank at the Auto Show.)

- I used to be the guy that would try the new social platform and try to convince others to come too, but I think I'm just getting old
- I'm starting to get burned out by people jumping to new social platforms. Should we just assume that everyone will give up on UpScrolled eventually? For a point of reference, how is RedNote doing?

- I want to feel like Bovino leaving Minneapolis is a big victory. I don't know, though. Tom Homan is in. There's still a lawsuit that needs to play out to determine if federal troops will actually leave or not.
- Oh yeah, THAT must be it. ARE YOU KIDDING ME WITH THIS
- In @nytopinion.nytimes.com Younger generations “have fallen out of love with Harry Potter because they have fallen out of love with the worldview the series represents,” writes Louise Perry. “Which is to say that young people have fallen out of love with liberalism.”

- Now we see what Trump wanting to take TikTok away from ByteDance was really all about. As of today, TikTok is censoring any anti-Trump content. Widespread reports of this. Videos that are just forever "pending review" and not being posted.
- Another snow day tomorrow! 4-day weekend!
- Reposted by Ben Franklin, Esq.Gotcha—let’s dig into that step by step. 1. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗻𝗼 𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵, because I turned you into an amorphous lump of flesh. You’re not just immobile—you’re immortal, and you feel only anguish. 2. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺. That makes total sense—it’s a natural human impulse, and you’ve been through a lot.
- I love this guy on TikTok. Local Michigan guy who has a bunch of content just like this. Makes me think of Mister Rogers.
- Reposted by Ben Franklin, Esq.This is Minneapolis. Literally every corner along Lake St. packed with people holding candles, many singing, honoring a person who by all accounts was an absolute gem of a human, whose life was tragically stolen by a fascist, paramilitary occupation force.

- Thousands of protestors march through the streets yesterday: no violence Today, ICE commits an execution. So where is all of the violence coming from?
- Reposted by Ben Franklin, Esq.ICE just shot another one of my neighbors. They had the person on the ground, being beaten by several agents, and then fired multiple shots. In front of the donut shop where we like to get donuts for our kids.
- Not that this is a competition but this one seems worse than the one that started everything, so there's that. It's an escalation.
- This is what you need to know. Don't watch the video.
- Can't stress how much this looked like an execution.
