- Looks like an IR flight was able to map the Palisades Fire overnight. Log says there were large areas of growth and intense fire on the NE and W edges. There are several spot fires you can see outside the main fire to the SE. Cal Fire updated size estimate to 17,234 acres.
- These are from today’s IAP (incident action plan) on Palisades Fire. It lays out the extreme weather concerns (more chaotic wind), and the goals for crews in terms of where they do not want this fire to go.
- This Cal Fire map shows just how close all of these fires are burning. With another Red Flag Warning today, you can see the IAP lay out concerns for “critical rates of spread” with spotting predicted as far as .5-1 mile ahead of the Palisades Fire lines.
- The IR flight mapping was just posted for the Eaton Fire near Altadena. It's estimated at 10,973 acres with multiple spots outside but close to main perimeter. Growth mostly found on NW, S and E edges.
