- wij hadden vroeger in de winter regelmatig veldmuisjes in ons huis. die hadden vaak vaste routes door het huis. ik ben een jaar of 10 als mijn ouders en twee goede vrienden gewapend met een emmer wachten tot het muisje de oversteek in de keuken maakt om hem te vangen 1/
- de muis komt tevoorschijn, vier volwassenen en een emmer erbovenop - ze hebben beet! terwijl ze koortsachtig bedenken wat ze nu moeten doen zie ik de muis tussen hun benen door ontsnappen 2/
- zonder na te denken ren ik erachteraan en pak ik hem bij zijn staart. 'ik heb hem gevangen!' roep ik, maar de volwassenen zijn te druk met de emmer. 3/

- Jovana Kaljevic (now postdoc @tunglejic.bsky.social ) saw how extremely compact Bdello chromosomes are packed during the non-proliferative attack phase (see pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC... ). GFP is excluded from the nucleoid area! 2/n
- This made us wonder: What happens with the chromosome during the bdello life cycle? Together with Fares Osam, postdoc @rkoszul.bsky.social we set out to map the chromosome conformation during the full cell cycle using Hi-C combined with RNA-seq. This are the key take outs: 3/n
