- I, too, am an ungrateful subject :) Growing up in Canada, I was told (directly, indirectly) to be thankful and not complain (too much). I didn't expect this to be such an emotional read. This spoke to me so directly, down to the shared passport with my mother. Down to the bubbling rage.

- Reposted by Dragana Prvulovićas a bosnian, i cannot accept this depoliticization of the mass murder that was directed against us. to brazenly claim that the violence has "no political or religious motivation" is beneath common sense. it harms any understanding of what happened in sarajevo and bosnia
- “There were no political or religious motivations. They were rich people who went there for fun and personal satisfaction. We are talking about people who love guns who perhaps go to shooting ranges or on safari in Africa.” www.theguardian.com/world/2025/n...
- The Centre for Holocaust and Genocide Research in Southeast Europe has released a public statement on the fascist 'Za Dom Spremni' salute👇 Just bracing for the backlash that has already begun to trickle in... this is an inevitability, particularly in November. chgrse.wordpress.com/public-state...
- Over 50 masked men gathered in front of the Serb Cultural Centre in Zagreb tonight, chanting the Croatian version of Sieg Heil–Za Dom Spremni. The police checked their IDs and let them go. This follows a similar incident in Split and death threats made to Pupovac. www.index.hr/vijesti/clan...
- Centering his minoritised identity is "a radical move in a political culture that expects minoritised candidates to constantly reassure majority audiences." The author makes an interesting comparison to Obama, who attempted to downplay his difference to appease white Americans.👇
- "He essentially said, 'I’m not going to hide who I am to make you comfortable.' In doing so Mamdani delivered a raciolinguistic reality check that refuses the idea that politicians of color need to translate themselves into whiteness to be viable." educationallinguist.wordpress.com/2025/11/05/z...

- If you haven't watched The Peacemaker [Mirotvorac] yet, make it a priority. I am grateful that more complex narratives of the 1990s war are finally being disseminated in Croatia. vimeo.com/1067050253
- Exploring how people find dignity in situations of mass violence, genocide, and callous warfare is both heartbreaking and incredibly important work.
