- Reposted by Dorien PastoorsPreprint alert: Jiangyuan Liu developed a new workflow for chromatin loop calling across Hi-C datasets, e.g., during differentiation. Most loops are shared between datasets/cell states. Important work for all interested in chromatin loops and how to identify them! www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6...
- Rotation PhD student @emiliedevet.bsky.social in our lab made the Dish soap protocol work (on the first attempt) for a nuclear target with Dawn (the US version of dreft/fairy ) and thereby extended the dish soap protocol to a version for across the atlantic 🤩 @tothovalab.bsky.social #hemesky
- For our #flowcytometry peeps, would you like to have a single fix/perm protocol that is optimised for everything? One that preserves fluorophores while allowing simultaneous TF and cytokine staining? How about 100-fold cheaper? You got it: currentprotocols.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/...
- Reposted by Dorien PastoorsHappy to share Joey (Zhuoyi)'s review on technologies to map RBP:RNA and (especially) RBP-associated RNA:RNA interactions is now up at RNA! pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/41535089
- Thanks Vijay!! Congratulations to your manuscript too - really cool to see that it's out!
- Please also see a terrific companion paper from @dpastoors.bsky.social and @delwelruud.bsky.social: ashpublications.org/blood/articl... + a great commentary from @bertiegottgens.bsky.social and Wilson: ashpublications.org/blood/articl...
- How do single transcription factors prevent lineage differentiation? In this issue of Blood, the second paper of my PhD is published. We show that MECOM, a key HSC TF, maintains stem cell state by preventing change through repression of CEBPA. #hemesky ashpublications.org/blood/articl...

- Excited to share that I started as a Postdoctoral Fellow in @tothovalab.bsky.social at @danafarber.bsky.social in Boston! Looking forward to the next years of molecular & myeloid biology in Boston 🤩🌇
- Yesterday I successfully defended my PhD thesis!!! It was a fantastic day where I got to celebrate with many colleagues, friends and family (this smile was on my face all day long)
- Thanks for the opportunity to present our work at the last day of #EHA2025 🤩 on MECOM as a repressor of CEBPA - also see our recent preprint: www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1... and I very much hope you can stay tuned for the final version soon-ish) #erasmusmcblood #hemesky
- My HemeSky feed is now also picking up #EHA2025! bsky.app/profile/dpas...
- 🤣 🔥
- Check out poster 1115 on MBD4 deficiency to model clonal hematopoeisis ⬇️⬇️ #EHA2025 🩸🧪
- Congratulations!! 🧪🩸
- Really enjoying #EHA2025 so far. And also how many people list there BlueSky as social media!! Posts are collected on this HemeSky feed: 🩸🧪https://bsky.app/profile/dpastoors.bsky.social/feed/aaagr4h5mq62a
- Spotted fellow #erasmusmcblood PhD candidate @shordijk.bsky.social at the #EHA wall of fame for her Mobility grant 🤩🤩 Congratulations !! @clotterdam.bsky.social
- SUPER excited to share that I got my PhD thesis - thanks to a special delivery from @massaarsanne.bsky.social to Milan!! On the 26th of June, I will defend my thesis at 15:30 CET. You can follow online at eur.cloud.panopto.eu/Panopto/Page... #hemesky
- This Thursday, I will be part of the @oncodeinstitute.bsky.social team to cycle up the Alpe d'Huez - a (very steep!!!!) mountain in the French Alps - to raise money for the Dutch Cancer Society @liting-chen.bsky.social

- Wow this is so cool! Congratulations !!
- our work on the molecular differences between transcription factor isoforms is out now in Molecular Cell! key point: 2/3rds of TF isos differ in properties like DNA binding & transcriptional activity many are "negative regulators" & misexpressed in cancer www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...
- Really enjoyed the meeting too and was very happy to be awarded the presentation prize 🤩!! Extra festive touch added by @bloodadvances.bsky.social which published @massaarsanne.bsky.social 's article on this project DURING her talk 👏 @oncodeinstitute.bsky.social #oncode #kwf #hemesky
- Wooo - check the cover image of the current issue of Blood Advances by @massaarsanne.bsky.social & Emma Boertjes et al!!! Congratulations - methylation damage repair is impaired by double mutations in DNMT3A in AML

- Reposted by Dorien PastoorsAmazing collection of reviews on developmental hematopoiesis from leaders in the field. Just out in @iseh.bsky.social journal, Experimental Hematology www.exphem.org/content/edit...
- I seem to vaguely remember that hematopoiesis is more active during sleep. Does anyone know if this is true 😅 ? #hemesky. not necessarily hspcs, but also more mature subsets. Is most cell production in the bm at night or during the day? Is it related to sleep or day and night ?
