- Yesterday the Scottish Parliament voted for a new law requiring owners of large landholdings to publish plans to increase biodiversity - rather than maintain the status quo in a nature-depleted nation. 🥳 The Land Reform Bill may be weak, but it's a joy to see this one provision made stronger.

- Glad to see the Natural Environment Bill is here. Without the detail (to follow in subsequent legislation) it's too soon to say if it'll lead to the recovery of Scotland's land and seas. We need clear, ambitious and updatable targets for Scotland's ecosystems. ➡️ www.rewild.scot/clear-ambiti...
- How popular and how well-proven does rewilding need to be before Scotland's government embraces it? We're told it's a flat 'no' to lynx reintroduction - but a poll released today shows that 61% of people in Scotland want a well-managed, legal reintroduction of lynx. So what's the bar? 🤷♀️
