- Today's harvest from our community garden was mostly lettuce with cucumbers, tomatoes, and peppers, all of which will feed people in need of healthy food today.
- Continued growth in our church community garden. #BeUMC
- We picked beans and cucumbers in our church garden this week. Many of us are food insecure, but today the people in our community will enjoy fresh vegetables. I may have sampled some beans off the vine.

- As a pastor at a faith community among people who are unhoused or experiencing other forms of poverty, my role lately is mostly gardening. Today we finished the third raised bed in our community garden. Soon comes the fun part of planting. #BeUMC #Gardening
- We're beginning to see some growth in our church community gardens.
- "When we give up our desires to be outstanding or different, when we let go of our need to have our own special niches in life, when our main concern is to be the same and to live out this sameness in solidarity, we are then able to see each other’s unique gifts." - Henri Nouwen, Called to Community

- I'm a pastor at a church among people who are unhoused. Several years ago we planted a small community garden, but last fall Hurricane Helene destroyed it, filling it with mud. This spring, we're renewing the garden...
- With support from the Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church (@unitedmethodist.bsky.social), we're able to replenish the soil to restore the original garden.
- And not only that, but we're adding new raised bed gardens. We started building and preparing those this week. The whole faith community helped.
- In the coming months, we'll plant vegetables, herbs, and some flowers. But there's already an abundance of grace, joy, hope, and community growing here.
