- I painted up some of the new Highland Miniatures zombies the other night as test minis. This is a super quick scheme that’s mostly just a zenithal primed, Speedpaint, and an all over drybrush. It’s mean to be fast and look good as a big group cause you know you’ll need a whole horde.

- Now that the Halo show is on Netflix and available to a wider audience, I definitely recommend you go give it a watch. Season 1 is rough, but Season 2 really kicks things off and is much, much better.

- Was thinking about getting the Drukhari box since the new Archon is sweet & the selection of units is good, but $240 for about 600 points of models is too much for me. Half of it is the pricing, but the other issue is just how severely under pointed everything in 40K is. Armies should be smaller.
- Like, a box like this should comfortably get you to the 1k mark for points. It would for most the AoS boxes. Modern 40K armies are easily double the size of those older ones when it comes to model count.

- I finished up the Heretic Priest to lead my warband last night. I’m particularly happy with the outside of the cape & his one boot. 😂 I don’t normally do this sketchier style of painting with lots of texture & visible brush strokes, but I’m really enjoying it & think it suits the setting perfectly.

- I finished up my first Anointed for the Heretic Legion. It’s a conversion using a Chaos Chosen body with the head, arms, & weapon from Westfalia Cadaver Corps, accessory bits from @trenchcrusade.bsky.social, & various pouches stolen from kits. I also sculpted some more webbing to him.

- First test model for my personal @trenchcrusade.bsky.social force of Heretic Legion. Wanted a more Grimdark look than I usually do but still with a pop of color to stand out on the table. I’m happy with the sketchy look I went with on the cloth. That’s new for me 😊

- Also, I really hope the Scouring isn’t another 20 year long series. I’m excited it getting told, as there are a lot of good stories to cover from that time, but please make it a more manageable size. Like Dawn of Fire size, or even 20 books max.

- Finished up the Gungnir from the Halo:Flashpoint War Games box recently. Fairly hard model to photograph. I went with a more standard Spartan green on this guy but decided to try a different shade of green than my 2 other green ones. Kind of want to try some urban digital camo on my next one…
- Another day, another Spartan 🫡 Finished up the first member of the Wargames team. Picked this model to start with because I had a clear idea of what I wanted to do with the color scheme. I spent a bit more time on him then a lot of my other Spartans, but less than Chief.
