- Andrew Friedman can’t get to his phone fast enough right now to call Detroit
- The Phillies’ actual cleanup hitter should be Bryson Stott. My column:
- Right now, the Phillies have 11 former first round picks on their 40 man roster. Without looking, can you name them all?
- I just got an advance copy of @justinklugh.bsky.social’s new book. The first line says: “At the New York World’s Fair in 1939, you could buy a hot dog for 10 cents and a tongue sandwich for 15.” Needless to say, I am excited to read this book.
- If it were to come out today that Zack Wheeler said he was cleared by doctors and would be ready for Opening Day, would that change your POV on the Phillies’ offseason moves?
- Do you think smart coaches like Saban and Freeman listen to buffoons like McAfee and just smile or do they get irritated?
- The best part of this is the people in the background laughing as loud as they are
- The most wonderful time of the year
- I guess Kepler was from East Germany?
- Still a fan of his
- Sitting the starters was the right move
- Did Bigsby give someone the middle finger?
- I love DeVonta Smith
- Are the officials simply ignoring the false starts by the Washington LT, or….
- Kind of amusing how one sided the referees are today
- Anyone feel like doing a Christmas block pool? Supports my son’s travel baseball team and their upcoming trip to Cooperstown!
- My favorite thing that Kyle Schwarber has ever done in a Phillies uniform was his home run in the NLCS against Yu Darvish in which his bat doesn’t flex. Usually, you see a little give on contact, but here? Nothing but brute force.
- Had a good time looking at and studying how the Phillies pitched to Ohtani in the NLDS
- The Phillies vs. Shohei Ohtani, Part Four From @witteethan.bsky.social www.thegoodphight.com/phillies-ana...
- We have a leader in the clubhouse for most depressing commercial
- The Phillies aren’t getting Ketel Marte without including one of Andrew Painter or Aidan Miller. On the surface, that’s fine, but their roster kind of needs both of them over the next few years
- Ok, they lost. Can we fire Patullo now?
- Let’s get those questions rolling in
- Mailbag time! ✉️📫 @witteethan.bsky.social needs your questions for a post. What should we expect from Justin Crawford? Will the Phillies actually sign an outfielder? What’s the meaning of all this? All valid questions! Reply here to make Ethan get to work
- The Phillies should have traded Griff McGarry when he was considered a top prospect
- Hurts looks awful
- Of the two, I’d probably trade Strahm than Alvarado. The lack of velocity always concerns me with Strahm, but he’s also been better, more reliable than Jose. Why not just keep both and upgrade with money?
- Wrote this today. The Phillies should let someone else spend $100M on Murakami
- Munetaka Murakami has been posted. The Phillies should pass From @witteethan.bsky.social www.thegoodphight.com/phillies-ana...
- Not Pierre Robert!!!
- Would you trade Nick Castellanos for Mike Trout + ~$50M?
- Oh Mariners….
- He’s lost something in mine eyes, but who else you gonna get? The best option is probably Bochy and he ain’t coming here
- I like to think of myself as a rational Phillies fan. It’s completely fine to be optimistic that they’ll win tonight. They’re a good team, one of the 3-4 best in baseball, that is having a bad week. It’s also fine to be furious with them for having that bad week right now
- If they win tonight, great! Bring on game 4. If they lose, I’ll be angry and calling for change. That’s ok too!
- Rob Thomson just said the words “wanted to play for a tie”
- The bunt is a fireable offense
- Every playoff loss makes 2023 NLCS G4 sting so, so much more.
- That’s on Thomson
- Alright Nick Lodolo, it’s going to be up to you tomorrow
- El. Oh. And I can’t stress this enough. El. Mets.
- Listen, I’m really happy the Eagles won that game, but today is all about making sure the Mets lose and miss the playoffs
