- According to NHC in its final report on Hurricane Helene, of the 176 direct fatalities caused by the storm, 95 of them were due to freshwater flooding With the latest report of 105 killed in Texas, this event is now a deadlier flood event than Helene An absolute tragedy

- Livid and sad hearing the news of today
- A classic Southeast U.S. winter tornado outbreak is expected today Numerous severe storms will likely produce multiple tornadoes, some of which will be strong and long-tracked. EF-3 or even violent EF-4 tornadoes are on the table A dangerous day ahead
- Waking up this morning to the most December snow in #NYC in four years Officially 1.8" at Central Park which is the most snow in December since 10.5" on Dec 16-17, 2020
- Wow! 20" of snow in New Jersey! This may have broken the New Jersey state record for most snow from a single November storm. The current record, 17.5" in Dover, NJ on Nov 26-26, 1938 came during a Nor'easter that buried the entire I-95 corridor with snow
- Mother nature is doing its part to help smother the Jennings Creek Fire, the 5,000+ acre fire that has killed one firefighter and sent periods of smoke directly into NYC the past few weeks Over 7" of snow is being reported in the area around the fire so far with more on the way

- Initial takeaway from Election Night coverage, NBC wins for the best set. It's gorgeous
- On this gorgeous 79° November day in New York City, I decided to take a different, more picturesque, way home #nycferry

- Let's recap the incredible historic rain event in Roswell, NM yesterday. 5.78" of rain Wettest day all-time! beating 5.65" on Nov 1, 1901. This is 1/2 their avg YEARLY rain (11.63") 2.70" was recorded in one hour between 8-9PM More than they avg for all of Oct, Nov and Dec (2.34")
- Something that caught my eye this morning. No rain has fallen in NYC and Philly in Oct & the newest NBM keeps them dry for the rest of the month. If accurate, it will be the very first time they record 0.00" for an entire month. Records go back to 1869 (NYC) & 1872 (PHL)
- Oscar, left for dead yesterday, given a 10% chance of developing, is likely a hurricane Forget Dodgeball, this is the true underdog story
