- Just finished @mayanwolfe.com's Intro to SQL course as a refresher. It went by quickly for a 4-hour session & was really well-done. #100Devs #webdev #sql
- Worked through Gregor Thomson's SQL course on @scrimba.bsky.social. Didn't get a t-shirt, but walked away with a certificate & PTSD instead. #100Devs #webdev #sql
- Two more. Hope you all have a happy holiday, or whatever you look at this time as. "Your brain is wired to magnify what you focus on..." #100Devs
- I've had a bunch of conversations with other #100Devs folk about motivation & consistency. They're ever-present on people's minds. Last night, these 3 vids came up in my feed & I watched them. I think some of you might benefit from what they share.
- Took a break from other stuff I was working on & went through @rachelktyjohnson.bsky.social's Vue course on @scrimba.bsky.social yesterday. It was my first time using @vuejs.org & I really liked it. So much simpler than what React has been turning into. #100Devs #webdev #vue
- Listened to Ep 22 of The Programming Podcast from @leonnoel.bsky.social & @dthompsondev.bsky.social this afternoon on the road. It's from April 10th. They spoke with Andy Wong about working for FAANG, startup & other companies & about senior devs. #100Devs #webdev
- I'm 10 mins into this episode of the #freeCodeCamp podcast. If you're job-hunting, watch/listen to it. Its really insightful so far. @jason.energy is dropping bombs. #100Devs #webdev
- Hit the #learntocodela meetup in Ktown with @sirashtondev.bsky.social yesterday. Last one of the year. Got there early to beat LA traffic, so we explored Ktown for 2 hours & walked about 4 miles. Met a bunch of cool new people - several of whom I want to hit shows with in LA next year.
- Listened to Ep 21 of The Programming Podcast from @leonnoel.bsky.social & @dthompsondev.bsky.social on the road. It's from April 3rd. If you're on the job hunt, listen to this one. Great questions & answers about the hunt. #100Devs #webdev
- Listened to Ep 20 of The Programming Podcast from @leonnoel.bsky.social & @dthompsondev.bsky.social on the road yesterday. It's from March 27th. It was interesting hearing that ai would write 90% of all code in 6 months' time (there's context). It's now 9 months in the future. #100Devs #webdev
- All of the Developed By Ed courses are free now! drive.google.com/drive/folder... #100Devs #webdev @developedbyed.bsky.social
- Listened to Ep 19 of The Programming Podcast from @leonnoel.bsky.social & @dthompsondev.bsky.social on the drive back home. It's from March 20th. Detoured & visited with @sirashtondev.bsky.social. walked 4.5 miles through Monrovia to get some steps in together. #100Devs #webdev
- Listened to Ep 18 of The Programming Podcast from @leonnoel.bsky.social & @dthompsondev.bsky.social while driving. It's from March 7th. I last listened on April 17th. So behind... #100Devs #webdev

- @devmansam.net released his freelancing app today. I've tested it in the past & its amazing. Its the strongest free resource I've seen for people looking to hunt web dev clients. There are tools to find businesses, contracts, proposals, tracking systems & so much more. #100Devs #webdev #freelance

- Working on the homework for Class 35 at #100Devs. We had to review a Node server. Commenters on the YouTube video said that it was a difficult class, so I did a little writeup on my blog to try & explain the code for those who'd like the help. #webdev #javascript @nodejs.org

- !checkin for Class 35 at #100Devs. Went through promises & async/await. Learned that setTimeout(), setInterval(), fetch() and THE DOM are not JavaScript. They're web APIs! Finally started backend with Node. #webdev #javascript @nodejs.org

- !checkin for the 6-hour JS Super Review between classes 34 & 35 of #100Devs. Haven't touched any of the material since the end of March & this was a lot. Variables, functions, conditionals, loops, arrays, objects, APIs, OOP & more. Job-hunt material, too. On to backend, next. #webdev #javascript

- In the previous iteration of the agency website, I used a Header component to render the hero section for each page. It was called from each page, so they passed props with h1 text. Now, I'm using a Layout component, so its different. I got it working like this: #100Devs #webdev #react #reactrouter
- Quick rundown of how to add a Layout component with React Router 7: 1. Make a Layout component somewhere (you can name it anything, I used Layout). Import { Outlet } into it. Its like { children } & is where the page component content will render. #100Devs #react #reactrouter #webdev
- Hit Denny's with @sirashtondev.bsky.social by accident after kiddo #1's concert. They were listed as The Burger Den online. It was a trap! That said, the triple was pretty good & someone got ice cream.
