- Any positives you ask....Blueger's line.....and the play of Liam Ohgren....and some decent play from P.O. Joseph, who people forget has played over 200 NHL games. There ya go.
- Starting to feel for this team to truly move forward, EP 40 must be moved. Now could he be rejuvenated with another club, new linemates, better atmosphere, sure. But it sure doesn't look like there's an ice cube's hope in Heck, of it happening here.
- Drafting is an inexact science. Canuck GMs....including Benning, Nonis, Allvin, PQ have draft misses and overlooked players near their spot. Just a question from tonight's game: is Shea Theodore better than Hunter Shinkaruk, is Mark Stone better than Jon Iilahti? I know round 6 is guesswork, but..

- Another "sizzling" night from EP 40 with under 5 mins to play in Vegas. No points, 2 shots 2 giveaways, a push in the faceoff circle 50%.
- No longer super interested in hearing Adam Foote breakdown the goals against in these games. It's not personal, it's not even that he isn't accurate, he knows the game and his analysis is credible. But as a coach he clearly has no answers, so it's just....static.
- Lekkerimaki has to work on the defensive side does he, well sure ....if he plays too much it might be a 6-2 L.
- This game tonight with the Mammoth, was one of those "how many are left in the season"....specials.
- Think about it, who is the best (healthy) goalie in the Canuck organization right now? Small sample, but it sure seems to be this guy:
- Obviously Liam Ohgren was the main piece in the Hughes deal.
- Didn't see much you would call inspiring play, from EP 40 tonight in Salt Lake.
- .700 goaltending on the night, will almost never win, in the National Hockey league or any other league for that matter.
- Hard pressed to feel this Canuck management team should stay at the helm. Just too many mistakes, especially giving long term contracts to Brock Boeser/Kevin Lankinen/Thatcher Demko/ Petey 40/ Marcus Petey (who they acquired and now looks lost, instead of a like a steady veteran).

- Yes, Ducks were missing a big chunk of offence (over 120 pts) without injured players Mason Mctavish, Troy Terry and Leo Carlsson. Canucks likely not too sympathetic.
- Gary has got his parity....8 NHL teams currently with 57 points
- Blues goal differential of -52 is only one better than Vancouver. Although they're 8 pts up on the Canucks.
- D. Petey 25 did show some snarl working over Olen Zellweger behind net with under 8 mins to play. Nikita Tolopilo" shares a team shutout with Lankinen, Tolo made 32 of the 33 saves. 2-0 win for Vancouver. They can "afford" the 2 pts. Gotta produce the odd result.
- Anaheim's Ryan Poehling allowed to run over Nikita Tolopilo pays no price, not even a PP goal. Don't tell me they didn't want to negate the PP. Points don't matter right now, team pride does. Tolopilo has returned after Kevin Lankinen made a brief cameo to start the second. Frustratingly passive.
- Sharks have been on the wrong end of a lot of these themselves this decade.
- Ray now saying on the broadcast pretty similar to what I did here, how it may seem like the Sharks progress has been quick, but it's been a slow painful slog for a half dozen years.
- Perspective. Sharks have a good young team, Celebrini is amazing, but it didn't happen overnight. 6 seasons with no playoffs, scary low point totals. It's advanced citizenship, you gotta want it, and be willing to suffer. And still no guarantees, a playoff spot is not a lock yet.
- Wouldn't say the Leafs playoff chances are absolutely done, but they are in a helluva lotta trouble.

- Canucks have things down pretty well....spot the oppo 2 or 3-nil.....comeback and nearly tie it, just fail to do so. Entertaining finish, no danger of hurting lottery chances. This formula will only continue to work if they can sprinkle in a few more wins for the home folks, and team morale.
- Seahawks are in Superbowl 60 against the Pats, after holding off the Rams 31-27....nobody is more relieved about that than Hawks corner Riq Woolen.
- Canucks battle back from 3-0 but lose 5-4 to the Devils. Cody Glass with 3 pts. (working on a Cy Young 13-4). Zeev Buium scored a nice goal, Linus Karlsson 1-1.... Boeser starting to score a bit. Crazy finish, Petey 40 a big save with the goalie out, Devils just couldn't get it in empty net.
- Filip Hronek is even on a team in last place with a -50 goal differential. He also shares the team scoring lead with 29 pts. and is by the far the team leader in assists with 25.
