- Shirley Raines, hero has died too soon - at 58. She lifted so many lives. A community activist, she provided food, clothing, hair & makeup services, hygiene and safety items to thousands of homeless people in Skid Row, LA. Thoughts with her family and friends. - Just found out a little while ago of Queen Shirley's passing. Couldn't believe it. Tears. She walked in the footsteps of a Godsend person. When she was nominated CNN Hero of Yr, I askes my tiny social media folks 2 vote 4 her. Took pics of TV screen to capture moment. I'm not taking this loss well.
