- Reposted by Diana Nguyễnthe Epstein files are really devastating because they remind me of how many girls and women miss out on professional opportunities, mentorship and careers because of how many powerful, rich and influential men only view girls and women — and interactions with them — through the lens of sex
- I do recommend people talk to their pro-trump and pro-ice family members because when you do then you'll realise that misinformation and general distrust of media is the reason why they believe what they believe. The way we talk about discarding people is a very carceral way of thinking
- Reposted by Diana NguyễnCALLING ALL BLACK COMIC ARTISTS, WRITERS, AND ALL-AROUND CARTOONISTS! Reply to or quote this post showing off your favorite work so we can get more people reading your creations!
- Reposted by Diana NguyễnReminder for artists: don't get blinded by the "big number" for an art project. Remember to do the math. $3,000 for a tarot card desk *sounds* great. But in reality you're only being paid $38.46 per artwork. And if each artwork takes 20 hours to make, you're getting paid $1.92/hr

- Everyday kind of has that feeling of accidentally stepping in shit
- Not only gross because of gen ai but like we don't need another series about the founding of america. Nobody cares. Straight to the trash bin
- Reposted by Diana NguyễnI wrote about my childhood friend Alexi Pretti. Please read it and share it and remember him as a human being. @theverge.com
- Reposted by Diana NguyễnThere’s a rally going on in Boston rn and they’re chanting “we’re not cold, we’re not afraid, MN taught us to be brave!” and I might cry
- Reposted by Diana NguyễnVan Hollen: "They really think the American people are stupid. I mean, we can all see the video. We saw the video with Renee Good. We saw the video with Alex Pretti. The real domestic terrorists are in the White House right now."

- Reposted by Diana NguyễnI've seen several popular movements in my lifetime and history now as someone who teaches comparative politics. When people show up in the dead of winter, on a workday, when it is the most inconvenient because of cold, it shows how strongly they are motivated against the government.
- Reposted by Diana NguyễnICE detained a 5-year-old Minnesota boy coming home from school + took him and his dad to Texas, school officials say. The family has an active asylum case + entered the US at a port of entry. "They’re taking children. They're not violent criminals. They're little kids," the superintendent told me.

- Reposted by Diana NguyễnOur culture has such a reliance on art, mixed with so much disdain for artists' lives. Someone throws soup at a painting in a gallery or whatever and everyone acts like it's a literal murder, but that level of sympathy is for the object, almost never for the living conditions of artists.
- Highly recommend ignoring all "takes" in terms of entertainment. You will start to enjoy and form your own opinions on what you're experiencing more while also become more interested in finding new sources of inspiration.
- I fear that everything just vanishes into the ether now

- Reposted by Diana NguyễnIt’s easy to think that schools in Minneapolis are closed because the Feds murdered someone in the street but no, the actual reason is that while that was happening, the Feds were busy doing other heinous shit across the city like tear-gassing a school

- Reposted by Diana NguyễnThis is literally what they do whenever a Black person is killed by police. No matter how solid the evidence is, they will keep pushing that lie, not just to poison the conversation and make sure the killer walks free, but to reassert the political idea that these people deserve to be killed.
- I learned last year that you can be involved and informed while also checking out of social media. These platforms keep you isolated, promote a lot of anxiety, and keep your fears fed.
- Reposted by Diana NguyễnNEW: At least four videos show what really happened when ICE shot a woman in Minneapolis on Wednesday. DHS has established itself as an agency that cannot be trusted to live in or present reality. Our latest:
- Reposted by Diana NguyễnIllustration rates for a print mag from 1992. $2000 for cover art $1000 for full-page $300-500 for spots Does anyone recognize these numbers?
- Finally watched both Dune and Dune: Part Two and I miraculously regained my attention span. Denis!!!! Hell yeah!!!

- It's only the 3rd day of 2026, please.
- I have a bout 5 more drawings left in my shop and will be closing up shop after they are sold! I'm feeling hopeful and excited about making art again and I'm ready to spend more time doing it in the new year 💖
- It's always special when someone you're a fan of buys your art and supports you! Thank you Robert for your support all of these years. I'm happy that one of my favorite drawings will be cared for by a wonderful human ❤️

- Reposted by Diana Nguyễnno idea if this will be a good movie or not, I’m just ecstatic to see a poster like this for an upcoming movie — peak of the artform, IMO
- Reposted by Diana NguyễnI hate to e-beg, it's embarrassing and I feel pathetic, but all I want for the holidays is to help my disabled mother with her medical bills so she can continue getting the care and treatments she needs. Please donate or share, I appreciate it so much! LINK: gofund.me/15682d815

- I also have 6 more original drawings left on my shop ranging from $50-100 USD! I'll be closing up shop for a little while after these are gone so if you've ever wanted to snag some art from me at affordable pricing then now is the time 🥰
- I spent most of the year prioritizing a life, and now I'm feeling hungry to chase creative pursuits again
- Damnnnnnit I love Geese
- Not enough people are shaming the 'IT: Welcome to Derry' intro which is also made of entirely ai. It's hideous btw and I could tell immediately. It sucks. One of my favorite things about watching shows is seeing the creative intros and title cards
- You know I'm in my mid-30s because I'm seriously considering participating in Hyrox with my sister next year 💀

- I normally do not care for Charlie XCX's music but this snippet of what the Wuthering Heights score will sound like has made me a fan! With the rise of AI, I actually think we're about to enter the most exciting time in art because so many artists are pushing back
- Reposted by Diana NguyễnGenuinely so surreal having our baby (pun intended…sorry..) out in the world. Love to everyone taking the time to buy, play, and speak on Goodnight Universe. The support means the world to us. 💗
- I must say, I thought I'd love Frankenstein more. It is a beautifully made film though and Jacob Elordi's interpretation of the creature was one of my favorite things about the film
- New one for The Marshall Project <3 I really loved working on this piece

- This new Rosalía album...I have not been moved by music in this way in so long. It's the kind of art that makes you feel like you're experiencing something for the first time and irrevocably changes you and expands your world
- I've seen calls from people telling everyone to get off substack and I agree but you need to offer people an alternative that is free and not another monetized platform. People cannot afford to pay for another thing
- Everyone in Toronto is sad but I love how everyone is just posting about how proud they are of the Jays and thankful for all the friends they've made along the way 🥹⚾💙

- The beauty of snail mail is that you really have no idea where it'll end up. Found out today that a postcard and print I sent my friend about 8-months ago fell into his apartment elevator shaft and he just received it today. The fact that it went on an 8-month elevator tour is sending me. Incredible

- Reposted by Diana NguyễnThe government of Jamaica has set up a portal for contributing to official relief efforts. I will update this thread if anything analogous opens up for Haiti, Cuba, or the DR supportjamaica.gov.jm
- Here we have the west continuing to ignore calls for action, buffoon billionaires pedalling climate misinformation, putting profit over lives because the people most affected by climate change are those who have contributed the least to global CO₂ emissions and they do not give a rats ass
- Between what's happening in Jamaica and the record rainfall causing flooding in Huế, Vietnam in the last 24 hours. Not to mention the intense typhoon season that Vietnam and other parts of SEA has been experiencing for the past few months is incredibly alarming.
- Climate change isn't a future problem. It is already here in the global south

- I'm happy to share that my embroidery will be featured on the upcoming cover of Room Magazine's next issue, "Rest/Unrest." With AI taking over the internet, here's a reminder that there is value in the act of making things, in thinking, in ideating, in process, as laborious as it may feel at times!
- I do love it when a Toronto team makes it to a playoff because people get so excited since it happens like every 30 years. It's literally like a once in a lifetime celestial event
- I've been completely obsessed with starting my day by playing solitaire with my tiny deck of cards, and the act of just focusing on moving my little card piles is really rewiring my brain in a good way. I'm losing every game, but the feeling is similar to touching grass!

- I know I'm aging because this first taste of frost has me understanding snowbirds 😭. Why am I shivering while covered head to toe??? It's only 11 degrees. That's not even cold

- I am loving the creative direction that Gap has been going lately. In an age where brands are using ugly AI slop more and more. It is so refreshing to see a brand hire actual illustrators and animators for their ad. I love this whimsical Sandy Liang collection ad! It's so nostalgic in the best ways

- Just a few drawings I have available for sale on my ko-fi if you're looking for some art or ways to support artists especially as the holiday season approaches! <3 ko-fi.com/diananguyen/...
- Also, if you're Canadian and would like to buy directly from me. You can dm me!
- I'm in a sharing schmooood!😌 I've been enjoying drawing in my sketchbook lately! I promise you not all my sketchbooks look like this. I have a completely separate one for ideating and ugliness but that one actually feels more precious like a diary.
