- in my essay, “Incongruence, Vulnerability, Courage: Imagining Personality Disorders Otherwise”, one might say i made concessions to naturalization. in my opinion, i make naturalization work against itself. i naturalize in such a way that it turns naturality against its own strategic aim.

He told ICE that losing his caregiver would kill him. His father didn’t even get to say goodbye and has been denied the right to attend the funeral.
- it really confuses me why all the theory that has been developed for disabled people suddenly stops when we get to people diagnosed with personality disorders. why is it when we talk about them our critical thought goes out the window and we are so content in disavowing them?

- i’m going to include a paragraph about narrative prosthesis in my paper on personality disorders.
- instead of assuming you know anything about people diagnosed with personality disorders, and using us as a narrative prosthesis as synonyms and metonyms for power and evil, instead of assuming you have any power to utter our wounds, educate yourself, diminish your representational power over us.

- i realize acceptance of people diagnosed with personality disorders can’t be unconditional—no acceptance is unconditional (thus why acceptance into the dominant regime isn’t my political goal). while acceptance isn’t unconditional, it shouldn’t be contingent on a social demand. both are conflated.
- i haven’t been fawning as much as i used to. yesterday i dipped back into my fawning routine (at least i was able to notice & name it—i used to be totally unaware of it). i need to continue to develop a stronger sense of self & recognize my differentiation from others & not cognitively fuse to them.
