Important Fact
The U.S. generates more extreme wealth at the top, whilst European countries, though clearly capitalist economies, distribute wealth and economic security more evenly across the population, resulting in lower inequality, but fewer ultra-wealthy individuals.
Well done Europe!
Feb 4, 2026 11:39European social democracies kept progressive taxation while America dismantled it—corporate rates fell from 52% to 21%. Every billionaire represents thousands priced out of housing, healthcare, education. We traded distributed prosperity for concentrated wealth.
Good move for the rich.
Very bad move for the masses!
The difference isn't cultural. American policy transfers wealth up through tax structures favoring capital over wages, while Europe taxes wealth and funds universal services. Americans pay twice for what Europeans get once. We built billionaires by making everyone else poorer.
It's deplorable fact (for America!)
Europe taxes capital gains like income. America treats them like sacred property. Thirty years of that choice delivered exactly what it promised: broader prosperity there, concentrated power here.
American Administration prioritises wealth (especially of the elite) over the wellbeing of the masses.
