- ICYMI: Last week was the launch of England’s first ever Men’s Health Strategy — a real step toward better support, earlier diagnosis and breaking stigma. I’ll be working to make sure these commitments deliver for men and boys across Brighton, Peacehaven & Saltdean.

- Millions of tiny plastic “bio-beads” washed up at Camber Sands after a sewage tanker incident — and Peacehaven’s treatment works uses the same process. This is a ticking timebomb. I’ve requested an urgent meeting with Southern Water to demand answers.
- This Labour Government has frozen rail fares for the first time in 30 years — and it’s welcome news. There’s still much more to do to improve our rail network — from better reliability to stronger accountability — but freezing fares is a move in the right direction.

- I’m grateful to be featured in @brightonargus.bsky.social today as I call for a genuine reset in public standards — because the foundations of our democracy depend on it. In Parliament, I set out why rebuilding trust starts with real reform.
- I’ve met with the Friends of the Pepperpot to discuss protecting one of Brighton’s most distinctive Regency landmarks. We’re pushing for proper surveys, action on the trees growing through the roof, and a place for it within wider heritage plans. 1/2
- 5 million extra NHS appointments delivered already under this Labour government. That’s 5 million more chances to be seen earlier. 5 million fewer people stuck waiting. 5 million steps towards getting our NHS back on its feet.
- It's Transgender Awareness Week. Trans people are among the most marginalised and discriminated in our society. We all need to stand up to that. It was great to meet the staff at MindOut today, a brilliant local mental health service run by and for LGBTQ+ people. I'll keep supporting their work.

- Today I joined remembrance services in Rottingdean and Peacehaven to honour all those who gave their lives in service to our country. It’s always deeply moving to see our communities come together to remember the courage and sacrifice of our Armed Forces, past and present. We will remember them. 🌹

- Rottingdean Library matters — and local people have made that clear. Almost 3,000 residents took part in the citywide consultation on Brighton & Hove’s libraries. It’s a vital part of village life — and I’ll keep working with the Council, the Parish Council and campaigners to find a solution.
- One of my main roles in the Cabinet Office is making sure procurement works for British businesses. So It was great to meet with a range of small and medium businesses to discuss how we can use public procurement to boost jobs, growth and support small businesses across the country.
- We will remember them. Ahead of Remembrance Day this weekend, it was an honour to plant a poppy in Parliament's Constituency Garden of Remembrance on behalf of residents. Lest we forget.
- In Parliament tonight voting to protect the Employment Rights Bill — and to stop Tory & Lib Dem attempts to weaken it. The Bill delivers the biggest upgrade to workers’ rights in a generation: ending zero-hours contracts, banning fire & rehire, ensuring fair pay & job security

- A privilege to meet with @ujs-uk.bsky.social and Jewish student leaders last week to discuss the rise in antisemitism on campus. No student should ever feel unsafe because of who they are. We must all stand firm against hate — wherever it appears.
- Our Armed Forces give everything for us — they deserve safe, decent homes in return. 🇬🇧 With Labour, 14,000 military homes across the South East are being upgraded. Real respect. Real change.

- After the attack on Peacehaven Mosque, I called for government funding for repairs and security. On Thursday, I was proud to stand with the Prime Minister and Home Secretary to deliver on that promise — part of £10 million funding for mosques around the country.

- I promised Peacehaven’s voice would be heard after the sickening arson attacking. Today, I was delighted to be joined by the Prime Minister and Home Secretary to hear from those affected and to announce additional funding to help repair the mosque and improve security.
