Excavate
Excavate is a Yu-Gi-Oh! card search engine, built with love (and Svelte) by @santi.excavate.top
Find us at https://excavate.top
- My current script for assigning Genesys points had a bug where it didn't consider updating the point values of cards that are no longer pointed. I will try to have it fixed in a couple hours. My apologies!
- Aaaaaand done. Genesys points list updated!
- New Excavate functionality just dropped! Cards now show how many points they're worth in Genesys in the search page. Additionally, I added a is:pointed query which just returns cards that are worth points in Genesys. Which means, with -is:pointed, you can find cards that are free.
- Just remember: -is:pointed WILL return Pendulum and Link monsters. You can just add "f:genesys" to your query to remove them!
- (Also if there's a handtrap that isn't listed, let me know and I'll add to is:handtrap. I just added Dominus Spiral and Song of the Dominators to the list lol)
- So, Genesys format, huh? You can check how many points a card costs in Genesys format on Excavate :)
- Oh, and f:genesys will remove every Pendulum and Link from the query :)
- So uh, this happened and I can't use my main account until tomorrow. Yes, I said that shit. Yes, I stand by it. So I'll take this 24h suspension as a badge of honor. You can't shut me up.
- We just dropped a big update! Not only has the entire website been rewritten from scratch (@diamonddude.excavate.top is an absolute maniac), card text now includes links to relevant searches. By clicking on the second link in A.I. Connect, you'll get every lv4 non-dark cyberse monster!
- Also the website now works without the www. It's been a long time coming but it's working now. It's just excavate.top now!
- We're aware of the problems with the images. We're moving to a new CDN (and to webp images, so they will load faster!). Issue should fix itself in an hour or so.
- Our sister site Spellbook was released today! Go give it a whirl :P
- Whoever did this, I see what you're doing, that's a pretty nice hand lol
- Happy 14th birthday to Yu-Gi-Oh!'s best girl!
- Alliance Insight is available on Excavate!
- We hit 100000 monthly hits for the first time this month! Thank you everyone ^^
- Cards now have a "popularity" ranking which tracks how many times a card has been visited on Excavate. The five most popular cards at any given time will be displayed on the home page. www.excavate.top
- ....you've been spamming F5 lately, huh?
- The migration to the new CDN is done! Card images should load way faster than before now. CDNs sadly are not free, so if you can, consider supporting Excavate by joining the Patreon.
- Also added this lol
- The multi-language support patch introduced a number of bugs to Excavate, which have been fixed in the latest version. My bad! Additionally, card legality has been updated to reflect the latest banlist. Changes are live already!
- Excavate now has language support for English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French and German. The next thing on the roadmap is actually displaying the card names and card texts in the same language as the displayed image.
- This is going to take a while (a full week being optimistic), but the next Excavate update will add support for Spanish, French, German, Italian and Portuguese cards for names, text, pendulum effects and printings.
- The data processing has been running for four hours. Cards are sorted alphabetically in this process. We are on Aeropixthree.
- 16 hours. We are on Destiny HERO - @diamonddude.excavate.top
- Excavate 1.1.2 has dropped! SUDA has added to the database. You can find the new cards with set:suda Additionally, fixed a small graphical bug where "banishment" wasn't getting bolded correctly.
- The other (big) change is the card urls have changed. Cards used to be at /card?id={id} Now they are at /card/{id} /card?id={id} now redirects to /card/id (So as to not break old @cards.excavate.top links)

- Computers were a mistake and I'm about to end it all
- I found a bug on Excavate today: While searching for "Number 4: Stealth Kragen", no results would come up. Turns out the tokenizer wasn't looking for cards whose name included "Number 4: Stealth Kragen", but for cards whose "Number 4" included "Stealth Kragen".
- Of course, cards have no "Number 4" property and the query was failing. Incidentally, the same bug was preventing finding cards such as "Damage = Reptile" Bug is fixed and pushed.
- Introducing the Excavate API! If you're a software developer and want to work on an application using Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, the Excavate API may be the solution for you! This API returns all the information displayed on excavate.top. So far, it only has 1 endpoint: www.excavate.top/api/v1/cards
- You can access it via GET, and there's 3 parameters: q: an Excavate query. It accepts the same parameters as the website. limit: The number of results you want per page. Maximum 100. Defaults to 60. page: The page you want to query for. Defaults to 1.
- The JSON object returned contains the list of cards under "cards" and the number of pages for that query under "pages". If you submit an invalid query that breaks the API, you'll get an "error" string with what you did wrong.
- This API will remain free for as long as Excavate exists. If you have any questions about using the API for your own project, send me (@diamonddude.excavate.top) a DM either here or on Discord and I'll try my best to help you. Enjoy, and go build some cool shit!
- Reposted by ExcavateMore functionalities are being developed in Excavate! Right now, the main focus is to get real card scans for every printing of every card. However, this is a very time-consuming process. If you would like to support Excavate and, consider signing up to my Patreon www.patreon.com/c/DiamondDud...
