- Lemon suckling, Palm Springs 2022 We were in Palm Springs visiting our friends Robert and Bill, who had rented a cool condo with this piece of yellow art and a bowl full of plastic lemons. It inspired me to do a citrus version of Tori Amos's pig suckling photo from her Boys for Pele album.
- Puerta Vallarta, 2024 We stayed at a lovely place our friends Mark and Dan found. They generously gave Eric and me the largest bedroom. It had a closet that made me think of Blue Velvet, so I pulled out my travel strobe and played around.
