- Reposted by Stíofán Mhac an Bhaird (Stephen Ward)I have such conflicting feelings about this, because like...on one hand, I think it's an accurate analysis of why oppressors are that way. On the other hand, I think the most effective way to stop them is to take away their power and ability to harm, regardless of whether they ever change/heal.

- This is the Yale professor's explanation for why he described the physical attractiveness of a student in an email to Epstein. He explicitly says he regrets nothing about their association. Again, I'm so happy Yale hired David Brooks to restore trust. yaledailynews.com/articles/gel...

- Red Ogre (@ogre.red) gets rights to your work upon *submission*. And those rights are ridiculous. They can change your work, not credit you, use your work for advertising, or put it in an anthology. Don't submit to this one, folks.

Congress needs to have hearings on this like yesterday.

- This is superb. Ian McKellen delivers a blistering pro-immigration monologue written by Shakespeare, that makes you want to punch the air with exhilaration. Wow, wow, wow. An absolute must-watch. (Starts at 20:10 but the entire interview is a joy.) youtu.be/2l2RqzVG4ag

- I have seen too many drivers accelerate to overtake then turn across the path of cyclists rather than wait the few seconds it takes for the cyclist to pass the exit the driver is taking. So they actually see the cyclist and deliberately make a dangerous decision in spite of seeing them!
