- We'd not seen Crossbill until yesterday and then three turn up all at once at SWT Lackford Lakes. Here's the male, I didn't get a snap of the two females, unfortunately #UKBirding #LiferJan 25, 2026 18:38
- This was roughly the 238th species of bird I've seen seeing in the UK. I suspect I'd overlooked a handful before the time I was photographing them more in earnest back in early 2017
- At least my 305th species worldwide, and I know for sure there are many species I saw before I started recording back in early 2017 that I didn't record from when I started travelling abroad around the mid-80s
