- I was excited for this book. And it's very short, but I'm really struggling to get through it...
- Happy weekend! I'm so so so glad this week is over...
- Jerry's Middle Finger tix acquired, too! Man, it's a good day for buying tickets to summer shows in Woodstock.
- Got S.G. Goodman tix with my friends! The show isn't until June, but I'm so excited to see her at Levon Helm Studios! The last time I saw her was opening at SPAC. This will be so different - better!
- I started the day in a meeting where two grown professionals got into a verbal fight, including F-bombs. How was your day?
- I am about to workout two mornings in a row and I'm just not sure my old body can take it. I've been on the every other day schedule. I'm really not that old. I'm middle aged, but I feel old this morning!
- Spent today at the NYS Capitol for work - it's a really beautiful building.
- A much loved deli within walking distance of our house abruptly closed (permanently) this weekend. I feel depressed about it. It's been here for 60 years.
- After much debate, I went with the New Mexican apple pie for the pie social/competition I'm going to today. I cut a zia into the top, and made a little side pie with the leftovers to try it. Crust is amazing! It's both sweet (apples, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg) and savory (chiles and cheddar). 🥧
- I'm an idiot. I thought I had something going on this afternoon and just realized it is NEXT Saturday. 🤦♀️ I can't even keep track of my life anymore... 🫠
- Looks like I will not be running outside on Saturday morning... I'm not sure what my limit is but something like this, apparently. I just called about a day pass to our local YMCA for tomorrow's long run. God, that's gonna suck on a treadmill.

- Lucinda Williams' new album is truly the soundtrack to these times we're currently living through...
- We honestly didn't even get that much... One source said 14.5" in the last 24 hours. But we're still running out of places to put it!
- Today, two different neighbors walked nearly our entire block with their snowblowers, clearing sidewalks. It was a small act of kindness that made a big difference for those of us shoveling! And a good reminder that sometimes it's nice to live in close proximity to people.

- Got my 9 mile run accomplished this morning before the snow came. Temps were between 4-6°F. By mile 5, my water and nutrition were frozen.

- I have decided it's too cold to run this morning, and I will try again tomorrow. 🥶 I'm not as hardy as I used to be, apparently. When I lived in KS, I would have gone out in these conditions. Maybe TX ruined me!
- What's going on in this country right now, how quickly all of our constitutional rights crumbled, the private army of soulless ghouls kidnapping children... We are morally bankrupt as a country, and I don't know how we will ever come back from this.

- Both my job and the world are just a lot today... It's hard to just do your stupid little daily tasks in this context.
