- Only a Brit could write a romance novel completely devoid of affection! I guess it goes part and parcel with the ‘ol’ stiff upper lip wot wot?’ Attitude that a gentleman should not show any affection I also can’t imagine the adaptation of Remains of the day could possibly catch the subtelties 💙📚
- It’s recording day! So far we have read sci-fi, horror, thrillers, and fantasy and yet Remains of the Day is the novel that has baffled me the most. I cannot wait to hear what @bingewriting.bsky.social has to say about it because it feels illegal to tell so little plot with so many words! 💙📚

- I really struggled with The Fifth Season by N.k. Jemisin. Today is recording day of the #podcast and I am reaaaally looking forward to hearing what Nicholas Binge has to say to help me understand it better. I do quite enjoy the idea that sequels may involve an MC Majora’s Mask-ing the world! 💙📚
- Just us or has this episode of Love, Death and Robots become an absolute Christmas classic in your household too?

- Currently reading The 5th Season by N.K. Jemisin but there is something I’m struggling with. 1/3 of the story is written in 2nd person - essentially placing you, the reader, in the story which I find really hard to digest and engage with. Any tips on how to approach this type of reading? 💙📚 💬💙
- Word of the day: Bibliosmia - a love of the odour of books. Invented word of the day: Tabliosmia - the smell that emanates from a tablet or e-reader after your stinky nephew gets his mucky paws on it and smears jam and marmite on it cause he was having toast while using it. 💙📚
- A fun daily pleasure: Coming across a narrow protrusion you can walk and balance on when you’re out and about. A low wall or a raised sidewalk divider will do nicely. I think about this a lot and always try to balance on them for their entire length
