- Reposted by TinacyclistThe strategic road network is managed by a charity and relies on the goodwill of land owners for access. Some motorways will be muddy and flooded each winter. Also The strategic road network stops randomly at council boundaries and investment is where councils are willing. (UK edition).

- Reposted by TinacyclistWe are keen to continue working with 9Yards and other stakeholders to make improvements to the Roaring Meg for wheeling and cycling.
- Reposted by TinacyclistThey did that “person collided with car and died” thing, but in the ocean. No, the whale didn’t collide with a boat. A person driving a boat hit a whale and killed it.
- Reposted by TinacyclistWe have now done a formal submission of comments on the current Roaring Meg Planning Application. - Thus is good news.
- Totally agree.
- This is a shortsighted and stupid decision and will only entrench driver entitlement and territorialism over the road space on front of their house. Private charging should only be allowed off street. Roads are for moving, not storage or charging. www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...
- This is what we need to do in Stevenage. Many people have nowhere to store a cycle, so this prevents them from exploring our beautiful cycleways. To be fair, they are tired and need work, but they are still amazing compared to elsewhere.
- "It's important that, in addition to safe cycling infrastructure, attention is also paid to the availability and ownership of bicycles. This gives more people the opportunity to actually use our beautiful cycle paths," says Verhoef. #MobilityIsEquity citydealfietsenvooriedereen.nl/nieuws/fiets...
- Reposted by TinacyclistProposals in the new planning application for the Roaring Meg retail park would force people cycling to dismount and walk when they leave the Monkswood Way cycleway (a popular entrance/exit). We're encouraging our network to object to this application to show that cycling access must be improved!

- Reposted by TinacyclistNot only weight based parking charges (and whatever VED morphs into), but also weight based SPEEDING fines please. Doing 23mph in 20 zone in a heavy SUV has more potential to cause serious harm than in a lighter car, so represents more reckless driving behaviour by the driver - hence higher fine.
- Reposted by TinacyclistA fabulous cycleway network is only as good as its weakest links!
- What a fantastic ride we had.
- Clear demonstration of what we need to improve to get more people cycling.
- #ShowYourStripes The first image is an iconic Stevenage underpass infrastructure chosen to recognise the vision of the New Town planners. The scarf shows UK temperature data. The second image shows the urgency of the climate emergency, action is needed to make our infrastructure fit for the future.
- We still have places left on 28th June in Stevenage.

- Reposted by TinacyclistMore Good News! For at least 3 years, the underpass under the entrance to the lcon building has had no lighting. - Reposted by TinacyclistGood News! After a long absence, there are cycle racks outside the main entrance of big Tesco in town again! There are now 12, more than before. We had explained to the Council that people using the racks needed easy, direct access from the cycleway and convenient parking near the store entrance.
- We are missing our Beryl!
- We've delivered our Get Well Soon card for the #Beryl bikes in Stevenage today. The bikes have been away for a maintenance update and are missed by the local community.
