- TTRPG New Year’s resolutions! Had lots of great games in 2025. Of the many highlights, this included: running a fabulous and groovy crew in the Blades in 68 playtest, and getting stuck into a full-on Impossible Landscapes campaign in Delta Green. Goals for next year:

- This is a good take. Alternatively, the hire car I had recently made an interminable, shrill beeping sound every time I nudged even 1mph over the limit. The centrist view would be that at least this could be compulsory in all vehicles!

- @jmstar.bsky.social Hi Jason, are you aware that your Itch.io storefront has been blocked from being accessed in the UK? I can't believe that anything on there should fall under the Online Safety Act, even as draconian as it is!
- Elder Millennials who came of political age under the last Labour government, and remember Jacqui Smith and Charles Clarke and David Blunkett and Jack Straw:
- Google is at the stage where its AI is suggesting weight conversions from US to Imperial that are off by a factor of three. I nearly made a lot more waffles than I was expecting.
- Andor is amazing of course, but particularly enjoying that I cycle past Coruscant and Ghorman on my way to work every day. You kind of feel like, wow I was just on that alien planet earlier!
- Of all the sci-fi I’ve read, why does it increasingly feel like we’ve slipped into @annodracula.bsky.social’s Dark Future timeline? And without even badass Elvis to rescue us.
- So psyched to play #Blades68 that I’m rewatching the psychedelic 1967 Casino Royale as GM prep.
- Starmer soft-banning Elon from the UK.
- Nerd gripe of 2024: Warhammer vloggers pronouncing WAAARGH as “wahh” instead of “war”. Orcs aren’t having a mild tantrum! They love war. It’s their whole thing. War!
