- Reposted by Javier MabreyBig money from corporations and secret donors has corrupted our elections and eroded confidence in government. We don’t have to wait for the Supreme Court to overturn Citizens United— Colorado can lead. It’s time to put people back in charge of our democracy. @javiermabrey.bsky.social
- Reposted by Javier MabreyI’m running for the U.S. Senate so the people who built Colorado can take back control of our healthcare, our homes, and our futures. Working people built Colorado, we deserve a government that finally works for us. Join our campaign: julieforcolorado.com

- Clean campaign pledges in democratic primaries are designed to benefit the candidates who are aligned with the oligarchs. We have to reject the politics of big money, small ideas and generic platitudes. Our economy is broken for the working class and policies that tinker around the edges won’t work
- Antifa means anti fascist. People who get so angry when that term is used or when someone calls themselves Antifa need to ask themselves if it’s because they are pro fascist.
- Reposted by Javier Mabrey5/ But David and Towards Justice didn’t stop there. They also worked with Rep. @javiermabrey.bsky.social to pass a law, House Bill 1380, forcing Colorado hospitals to always identify themselves by name when they sue their patients for medical debts.
- If you are running for office at any level right now and you aren’t speaking up about Trump’s mass deportation efforts and obvious human rights violations but you claim you will “stand up to Trump” or “Fight Trump” when you win I don’t believe you at all.
- NEW: The trump administration attempted to remove 600 terrified unaccompanied minors to Guatemala in the middle of the night on a holiday weekend. Judge Sooknanan stopped it. My latest: www.muellershewrote.com/p/the-sookna...
- Reminder to my fellow Dems, this is who we are up against! Stop buying into corporate backed polls presented by lobbyists that say voters want “bipartisanship.” Voters want us to fight to make their lives better, they don’t care how we get it done. Let’s stop elevating bullies.
- Dems can’t expect voters to trust us to be on the right side of anything if we can’t speak out against genocide & weaponized starvation. How can we ask anyone to support us to stand for any vulnerable people if we can’t support a vote to stop arming the government causing this?
- It would be really cool if either of the two major candidates running for Colorado Governor would say that they supported expanding collective bargaining in Colorado by signing the Worker Protection Act. Seems like an easy ask in a Dem primary 👀
- Reposted by Javier MabreyI am thrilled that Reps. @javiermabrey.bsky.social and Bacon are set to send the Worker Protection Act to Gov. Polis's desk. Please encourage the Gov. to stand with Colorado workers. (SB25-005) | #copolitics @govofco.bsky.social coloradonewsline.com/2025/05/05/c...
- Pope Francis’ advocacy for migrants & the poor highlighted the central tenants of my faith, that we should all do everything in our power to make this world better for the most vulnerable. He made the world a better and we will be worse off without his voice on the global stage.
- Reposted by Javier MabreyPope Francis was a compassionate man who centered the dignity & humanity of all people. He practiced his faith in word and deed until the very end. I thank God for the blessing of his life, and I mourn his loss alongside all people of faith and conscience.
- This is the most direct affront to the rule of law in modern history, they are telling us they can disappear us if we dissent. Would be really great to hear anyone in the Colorado Congregational delegation say anything about this or Abrego Garcia.
- The next Governor should fight to make child care free. Aspen is home to one hundred billionaires and Colorado has some of the most expensive real estate in the world. We can solve this problem.
- If you’re running for office right now, be specific about what you stand for. Every politician is generically concerned with affordability and every democrat is talking about the rule of law. Be specific, this isn’t the time for platitudes.

- Our bill to ban the use of algorithms to price fix in the rental market passed the House! A recent study by the White House showed that use of this technology lead rents to inflate by $1600 a year. I’m proud we are standing up to end the use of this software.
- Reposted by Javier MabreyNot to be a wide-eyed naïf about such things but... am I right in thinking that they levelled an entire building to get to one guy and *that* is not controversial to anyone in the American media or political class, only that this information was recklessly shared in an unsecured chat?
- Reposted by Javier MabreyThis is what corporate accountability sounds like.
- Join us for a town hall in HD1 this weekend! We are more than halfway through the legislative session. As the federal government is working tirelessly to dismantle essential worker, consumer and environmental protections are work this year has become more critical. Hope to see you there.
- There is a narrative going around the capitol that we over regulate landlords in Co. It’s ridiculous. Your landlord can raise your rent by as much as they want and evictions are at all time highs. We should be on the side of those who can’t afford to own, the people living paycheck to paycheck.
- Landlords are doing fine. The bills in this space this year are incredibly modist, if we cave on making it slightly easier for poor people to find new housing what are we even doing?
- Bernie and AOC just packed civic center park with more than 25k eager to fight back against the oligarchy. Meanwhile, this week, in the capitol across the park legislators who are supposed to be on the side of working people gut bills that seek to help the poor find housing and to end junk fees.
- Reposted by Javier MabreyThe House JUST passed "Letty's Act" 🎉 Rep. @javiermabrey.bsky.social's bill works to protect Coloradans from being responsible for costs associated with rental agreements due to the death of a loved one. - Stand for something. Voters don’t want a Diet Coke version of the GOP, if your top issues are deporting migrants or deregulation of businesses you’re not voting blue. We must return to our traditional base, let’s champion the working class and stand up to corporate bullies.

- Yesterday, almost every living Dem Secretary of Labor released a letter calling on Colorado to reform our outdated labor laws & end the second election to form strong unions in our state. We should be working at every level of gov to expand collective bargaining rights. @coloradoaflcio.bsky.social
- Reposted by Javier MabreyTrump is building a literal concentration camp in Cuba for 30,000 human beings and NYT describes it favorably as “Tent City Rising” like it’s an upcoming Woodstock concert. Ridiculous. Just beyond ridiculous.

- Proud to stand in solidarity @ufcw_local_7 workers at my neighborhood King Soopers. Workers are under attack in this country by greedy cooperations who work tirelessly to pay their workers less while charging us more and more. Proud of @ufcw_local_7 striking workers!
- We need leaders willing to stand up to the bullies. Trump and his allies have scared far too many of our leaders from speaking out against the demonization of our migrant communities and this is the result. Let’s stop helping Trump demonize migrants and fight back against the real bullies.
- Reposted by Javier MabreyThe sites of ICE raids in Colorado today reinforce that this isn't only about cruelty--it's about corporate profits for bullies, landlords, employers, and others who profit off exploitation, knowing they'll never be held to account by terrified people. This crap isn't about safety.
- Reposted by Javier MabreyShow up tomorrow!
- Dems have to stop normalizing the Trump admin, an oligarch has been given unprecedented power to dismantle our govt, internment camps are being set up, our trans neighbors are under attack. This isn’t the time to be silent or feckless we need our leaders to fight like hell.
- Basic worker protections are being dismantled by Trump. We have a duty to fight back. Let’s end our status as a modified right to work state. Let’s show Co workers that Democrats are on their side, let’s affirm the right to collectively bargain & pass the worker protection act.
- To be clear, we have no due process according to Laken Riley and concentration camps being set up. This is so so bad. And we have crickets and complicity from national Democrats.

- Immigrants are more likely to be victims of crime than criminals. Local and federal law enforcement can hold people accountable for crimes regardless of their immigration status. Politicians who continue to link crime and immigration are helping Trump justify this.
- Reposted by Javier Mabrey🙏🏽 Thank you to Reps. @javiermabrey.bsky.social and Yara Zokaie for leading CFF's first priority bill of the session, HB25-1015, through the House for unanimous passage. Now on to the Senate where Majority Leader Rodriguez and Sen. Gonzales will take the reins. Follow us for more updates.
- Last night, the Trump Administration issued an EO pausing all federal grants and loans. This is apocalyptic for state budgets in both red and blue states, it’s cruel, it targets the poor and vulnerable. It will be devastating for CO. www.nytimes.com/interactive/...
- We cannot normalize the attacks on our vulnerable communities and the rise of the tech oligarchy. It sounds dramatic, but I believe that resistance is more critical this time around. We cannot and will not win by surrendering our values or adopting toxic portions of the MAGA platform.
- I see a lack of a real fight from many dem leaders in response to the new admin, its alliance with big tech, its attacks on our migrant and trans communities, its attempts to end birth right citizenship are existential and unacceptable. We have to do more to fight back. Our words matter now too.
- Reposted by Javier MabreyFour examples of Democratic messaging since yesterday. I know which one I'm supporting. And voting for.
- The Democrats who voted for this are cowards. This legislation takes away basic due process, guts the presumption of innocence and will separate families and ruin lives.
- Reposted by Javier MabreyUber strips us of the right to take them to court for all kinds of corporate abuse. But they have no problem running to court with the extreme legal argument that they have a First Amendment right to hide their price gouging. Terrifying corporate hypocrisy. www.coloradopolitics.com/opinion/uber...
- Reposted by Javier MabreyAOC 🔥🔥🔥
- This flies the face of basic human decency say nothing of the presumption of innocence. We are a nation of immigrants, that makes us great. Everyone who voted for this should be ashamed.
- Reposted by Javier MabreyThe Laken Riley Act has passed the Senate. I can't stop thinking about how devastating the Laken Riley Act, pervertedly introduced in the name of a victim of gender-based violence, is going to be for domestic abuse victims:
- “Today, an oligarchy is taking shape in America of extreme wealth, power and influence that literally threatens our entire democracy, our basic rights and freedoms, and a fair shot for everyone to get ahead,” @POTUS is absolutely right and we feel it at every level of govt.
- S.5 isn’t about public safety—it’s a backdoor to mass detention and deportation. This bill targets DACA recipients, strips due process, and tears apart immigrant families. @hickenlooper.bsky.social stand for justice, protect communities, and vote NO. @votolatino.bsky.social
