- Panama City, Florida Forecast low is 23°F (-5°F). That's by no means unheard of here. But we're forecast to remain below the freezing mark for 17 hours, and that IS unusual. Also unusual, we just had a hard freeze about a week ago.

- It's surprising to me that no attention is given to the skyrocketing prices of precious metals (gold, silver, and others). This phenomenon is absolutely not an indication of consumer confidence in the economy. Of course, there are other factors behind it, but the primary one is fear.
