- Senator Lindsey Graham is quietly pushing an amendment to make sanctions on Syria permanent. Even at the height of Assad’s war crimes and mass atrocities, Congress did not make these sanctions permanent. The full repeal and removal of Caesar sanctions is the only path forward.

- Lindsey Graham just moved to make sanctions on Syria forever. This extreme amendment to the NDAA would remove their 2029 expiration, let Congress reapply sanctions at will, and block Syria’s recovery. The Senate could vote any moment. At least 41 Senators must vote NO.

- Seven months after Assad’s fall, violence erupted in Suwayda between Druze and Bedouin communities. Foreign interference and disinformation turned a local dispute into a national crisis, leaving nearly 100 dead and tens of thousands displaced.
- SETF urges Congress to vote NO on H.R. 4427. This bill undermines President Trump’s new Syria policy and extends damaging sanctions until 2028—sanctions meant for Assad, not the Syrian people. SETF stands firmly for full repeal of the Caesar Act and supports H.R. 3941 instead.
