- Reposted by Tom Pattison1. Been thinking about this more overnight. Years back I worked at a school where the MAT told us to reduce suspensions by "finding other strategies." They gave no guidance on what these should be. They sort of "challenged" us to find them. I'm sure the aim was noble but it was bad..

I'm guessing most are from San Antonio. Absolutely clear video proof that the cops were the only violent actors here.

- Reposted by Tom PattisonOn almost everything – fraud, polarisation, radicalisation, misinformation – evidence suggests that over 60s are in much more urgent need of online protection and education than teenagers. But that issue gets zero political attention, and is a total non-starter. Nothing good will come of it.
- This was a minor story on London news this morning - but suspect is a real cautionary (and alarming) tale of an older man getting radicalised online. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

- This really is disappointing. Hard to believe those chosen are the product of a rigorous process designed to reflect the diversity and experience across subject communities. Full of wonderfully talented people but for a curriculum to serve all schools a range of voices are required.
- The outcome might well be an exceptional curriculum but in practice, will it be deliverable in all contexts? Where are the actual practicing teachers? Where are the voices of successful practitioners in deprived areas? Strikes me as an easy option has been taken which is a shame.
- Reposted by Tom PattisonThe UK version of “Project 2025” by the Reform party includes a British ICE, a concentration camp for 24,000 people, mass surveillance and withdrawing from refugee, anti-torture and anti-trafficking conventions. It’s on their website. That’s how comfortable fascists are in the UK today.

- Reposted by Tom PattisonTory defections were useful to Reform at the start but are now a real risk. There is little sense in packing the party full of the very politicians the electorate overwhelmingly voted out. You can’t pitch to fix the country whilst hiring the Home Secretary and cabinet who broke it.
