- Met a woman from Minneapolis last evening at an airport bar in Honolulu. We exchanged notes and commiserated on fighting the good fight whether a Fed employee (me) or a community member in Minneapolis (her), and how that differs between circumstance.
- I feel like I’m mostly past the worst of what the administration has in store while she is obviously in the thick of it. I reminded her that it’s OK to have some fun on a work trip to Hawaii and it will help her recharge. No need to feel guilty. I mean, she knew this already.
- Maybe I needed the reminder too. Anyway, stay tuned for pictures from Big Island…

- Some photos from the Reno Alex Pretti honor ride. It was a great turnout and lovely day for a ride (though I am aware we need more cold and snow!)

- We ended downtown and converged with an ICE OUT protest, which was a fun way to end the ride 👊🏻
- Biked to downtown Reno to observe the student walkouts and protests. The kids are alright! ❤️👊🏻
- It was very peaceful, and each school seemed to have student organizers and teacher chaperones. Some parents came as well in support of their kids protesting. I only saw police show up towards the end to block streets so the kids could walk safely back to their respective schools.
